This. Favre+Adrenaline don't mix well. It got a little better as he got older, but he used to throw 4 of his first 5 passes 5 yards over the receiver's head in big games without fail.

i think your all ******ed. favre was having a great year last year until he got hurt. beat the titans, pats, and were the talk of the league. if he stayed healthy i know for a fact they would have made the playoffs.

also why does everyone say he plays bad in domes? in green bay recently he crushed the lions and vikings every time they played. hey, anyone know where he won super bowl 31?

this time last year everyone was talking about how great he was. he had an amazing last year in green bay. but he got hurt in NY for the final stretch and played bad in like 4 or 5 games. lol sample size.

Favre is 40, not 30. He throws 20+ picks a year and fumbles it nearly as often. Favre's ego is so big that he'd have to throw it 40-50 times against the Packers and that's not how the Vikings want to win. That's one problem Favre caused with the Jets last year- not enough Thomas Jones and Leon Washington. That, and all his Jets teammates thought he was a douche.

The one thing a team with ADP and a solid defense needs is someone to chuck up 3 picks a game trying to prove a point to his old team.

I don't know if he's that bitter...maybe he just really wants to play the game he loves? Unless I'm mistaken, he hasn't come out publicly and said he's upset over essentially being thrown out of Green Bay, so I don't know if I believe that one until I hear it from him or Bus Cook.

Crushing the Lions doesn't count. If you look at his numbers, they aren't bad playing in Minnesota, but he did throw a lot of INTs (shocker) and the team was around .500 record wise. He did win the Super Bowl in the dome, but the 2002 Rams say hi

i have nothing to back this up, but I always felt like Favre would suck on a team where the offense was built around he running game, which the vikes obv are with ADP and CT.

also, I think I'd rather have Jeff George.

how would the vikings fan in minnesota react to this? despite being a vikings fan, I have never been to Minnesota and not really met that many other people who are fans. i assumed everybody would hate Harvin, but I talked to the one guy I know who is from Minn. over the weekend, and he loves him, so I'm curious how they would take the Favre news.

Jeff George as your guy over Farve? Maybe in arm strength but nothing else.

http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2009/03/28/j...-with-vikings/

George makes Farve's comeback look low key compared to his antics. I want to Ownes and George play together. That would be fun to watch but not on any team I am rooting for.

Grunching:

Brett Favre is a BIG upgrade over any qb on the vikes roster. Its a year too late imo but, if he is the starting qb the Vikes chances of going to the Super Bowl increases.

To those who think the Vikes are better off without Favre. How do you think Adrian Peterson would feel? Do you think d-coordinators are going to pull 8 men out of the box because Jackson or Rosenfelds will burn them or pull those 8-9 defenders out of the box because Brett Farve will kill them.

Favre with Harvin and Berrian (even though he cant catch real well) streaking down the sidelines and Peterson seeing normal coverage.

Favre to Vikes = NFC Central title.

**** Brett Favre.

I don't care how much football he can still play.I'm just sick of how every February he retires, and every May he wants to come back.

Now we have to listen to half of Sportcenter devoted to Favre rumors.

yeah jackson's scrambling really helped the vikes in the playoffs. you are talking about sage rosenfels dude.. sage fuc**g rosenfels... need i say more ??

i went to the vikes game 2 years ago when favre broke marino's td record. the vikes fans cheered for favre in that game more than they cheered for the vikes. favre is loved in mn. even people who dont like football in mn like brett favre.

garcia cannot throw more than 30 yards downfield (slight exagerration) how is that going to help adrian peterson ?? what good is having burners.. harvin and berrian if the qb cant get them the ball ?? why would the opposing d not have 8-9 in the box if the qb can't beat them deep ?? garcia's arm is not strong enough to even consider.

GREAT idea !!! Now that you mention it I fear when Favre gets one whiff of Childress he will decide that milking cows is better than playing for that clown. He already had 1 year with a coach with no people skills, he may not be willing to go through that again with childress.

Viking fans will be pumped if Favre is the QB of the Vikes... pumped.... you are asking ....."who do you want to be your starting qb, sage roselfels or brett favre? " Vikes fans reply...... "Can Favre walk?"

O RLY?

Favre is too old to be a star quarterback anymore. Yes, he has put up a terrific career, but there are just way, way too many miles on those tires.

Healthy Favre = better than TJack ldo.

The problem is that when he gets hurt- he insists on playing, and nobody can pull him from the line up, so you get Gimp Favre which is like auto-lose imo.

lol @ everything. Goodell should just suspend him for life because he can.

can't possibly understand how all you delusional Vikings fans think they have more weapons. a bunch of "levels" "lols" but I dont even know your receivers.

Sidney Rice? ORLY?

Cotchery > Berrian

Coles >>>> Whoever you claim is No. 2 receiver

Oline hands down much better at every single position.

And yes, Adrian Peterson admittedly is a God. But it's not like Thomas Jones and Leon Washington did not provide good years at their position.

it's like you vikings fan say "hey we have one good player that makes our offense great"
