Team is legit. Quite a few tough gut check quality wins and the 2 losses are that opening night fluke at sf and a close loss at Denver. Schedule is ugly coming up, think we need 10 this year.

If we win this week, we will have a two game lead and a divisional record tiebreaker edge over the pack. If the pack continues to play as they have been the past few weeks, 8 wins might be enough, lol.

Seriously though, in every game but the first and last, we seem to play to the level of our competition, and do just enough in the end to win. I know we're less likely to get away with winning vs better teams playing at the level we have in some of these games, but if we win next week, I think 11 - 12 wins & competing for a first round bye is very possible.

Linval's last two games according to PFF:

vs. Rams:
Quote:
– Linval Joseph (+10.9) put on possibly the most dominant performance against the run that I’ve ever seen. He manhandled blocks in ways you almost never see. Down after down. The defensive tackle collected six stops against the run, and blew up many more setting up easy plays for his teammates, en route to a crazy +8.6 run defense grade for the game.
vs. Raiders:
Quote:
– Coming down from his monstrous +11.4 last week, DT Linval Joseph still managed his fourth-best game grade of the season and his eighth straight in the green. A clean-up sack and five defensive stops top his sheet but he also forced Mychal Rivera to fumble after a short catch and picked up seven other wins against Raider linemen Gabe Jackson and Tony Bergstrom. After jumping up just in time to grab a spot on our midseason All-Pro Team, Joseph looks poised to maintain his grip.
Two other Vikings had the best rating for their position this week:
Quote:
Center: Joe Berger, Vikings (+5.3)

When you lose your starting center, bad things normally follow. But the play of Berger has been exceptional for the Vikings, with his showing against Oakland the best yet.
Quote:
Cornerbacks: Terence Newman, Vikings (+7.3) and Sean Smith, Chiefs (+4.9)

It tells you how well these two played that Odell Beckman Jr.’s shadow (also known as Malcolm Butler) didn’t make the team. Newman allowed just three completions into his coverage, while intercepting two balls and breaking up two other passes. Meanwhile, Smith allowed just two completions and matched Newman’s number, but for one fewer pick.

Thanks for posting SL__72. The Vikings are 7-2, in first place and all 2p2 Minnesota fans can talk about is Zach Lavine.

If we win next week we very likely go 11-5 or better assuming no injuries to AP or teddy

Jumping offsides on 4th and 1 is so bad there aren't even words to describe it. Bad in any case, but especially here -- there is no way Fat McCarthy has the balls to go for it there.

Must be easy to win when the officials are cheating for you.

That illegal contact penalty on 3rd and 9 was so bad. Barr touched the guy less than 6 yards down field. Refs being totally literal and getting the chance to make a game changing call.

either these receivers are absolutely never open or teddy is the biggest vag of all time and refuses to ever throw the ball. either way watching this offense is so painful

We just play a solid football game it would have been a close finish. If we play solid football and refs call a fair game we win easily. Is it a coincidence Goodell was at the game, Buck was commentating, and the refs did everything they could in the 1st half to make sure the Pack had the lead?

Not sure if they serve burritos at TCF; they do at Target Center though. Not as good as Chipotle imo.

60% receivers 40% Teddy

Speaking of vaginas what did everyone thing of Zimmer's play calling? Not only did it seem like we hardly blitzed we so seldom even bluffed it. Felt like Zimmer was scared and played a base nickel most of the time.

Well this is how Packers opponents have been beating them. Put 6 or 7 in the box, jam Packer receivers at thr line of scrimmage and play 2 safeties over the top. Dare the Packers to run the ball. Lacy has been terrible this year up until yesterday. Lacy made a huge difference in that game.
