Surprised? Not me. Non-Sunday games are severely limited by terms required by the U.

I was more referring to no 3pm games, or even a Sunday night game.

flex games start in week 5 I believe, so if we're decent we'll get some.
wasn't it 2 years ago we had almost all noon games too?

Only flex games for Vikings will be late in year. Probably the Packers, Panthers or Bears games.

Why? 3-330 games are so much better imo. So fun to watch redzone when so many games are going on (at noon). Also, get way more buzzed up before a late game than an early.

I'm fine with noon games. I hate waiting for the 3:30 games to start.

Hi Guise,

Allow me to explain these Packer moves.

Raji - The Packers have like 0 NTs signed until signing Raji. Reports are that Raji believes playing as a 3-4 DE so much was playing out of position. Raji had his best season by far as a pro in the Packers 2010-2011 Super Bowl Championship season. Raji was signed on a one year $4 million deal. Packers had offered him $8 million multiple year deal early in 2013 but Raji turned it down an then TT withdrew offer. Apparently Packers are not interested in re-signing Ryan Pickett another NT. So signing Raji is a stop gap of sorts. Which brings us to Guion.

Guion - Low risk, might work out as a backup he came cheap. Packers have no depth at NT. I think Packers will try to address that in the draft but Guion is an insurance policy of sorts that TT seems to believe has some upside. Not much invested and he certainly isn't a lock to make the team

Peppers - A strange signing but very little cap impact if he doesn't work out. He'll play in sub packages exclusively is my guess. A lot of speculation that the Packers will be "creative" in how they use him.

Scoggins: Zimmer makes minicamp a bit uncomfortable

Article by: CHIP SCOGGINS

Quote:
Two general observations resonated more than Zimmer’s bluntness. The confidence among the players in this staff’s competency is unmistakable, and Zimmer intends to take a hands-on approach in fixing his defense.

Competence in the coaching staff is something we haven't seen with this team in a very long time.

Thanks for sharing.

I generally can't read strib stories with their annoying talking adds I can't get to shut up.

He'll be way better just by being on the field more than 5 plays a game. Its unbelievable the former coaching staff thought it was a good idea to keep him on the bench so much. I am so glad they are gone.

Since this is draft week(FINALLY) I am very curious who you guys want at #8? Also if the Vikings do decide to trade down how far back and who do you think they will get? I have had some scenarios in mind....

Bortles is my preference

I'm hoping for Bridgewater or Manziel

If we don't like the QBs available at our pick I'd expect a trade down with somebody coming up for one of the OTs.

They're looking down the road a few years in that article and basically saying there's no way he's worth 15m when he gets to the final year of his deal (4 seasons from now).

If the Vikings suck next year I could see him wanting to play for a contender at some point but other then that I don't see him going anywhere.

His cap makes it he can't really be traded. At the same time Vikings are years from having a highly paid QB on the roster so they shouldn't be bumping up against the salary cap anytime soon. Also the Vikings are relying on him to bring fans to games these next 2 years while we're in a temporary college stadium.

In that order for me and then option 3 being Bortles. I at least want a plan at what we're going to do at QB. I think waiting til the 2nd is a really ****ty plan.

My top 6 is exactly this, with Evans at #7.

I keep flip-flopping the order of the 3 QB's tho, I can't make up my mind.
