Maybe that bastard is so bad that he'll be good for us. Get the players fired up enough to rally together and make a run.

BS. None one in their right mind who knows anything about football would ever pay that idiot $6-7 mil a year. Zygi is delusional if thats what he thought.

One former Viking I spoke with on Sirius NFL radio this week told me he thought Brad was an absolute idiot during his time in Minnesota. He could not believe Brad called plays as offensive coordinator for the Eagles prior to getting his head coaching job and said Brad was "clueless."

theyd probably get fifty people if they asked former players, there probably just to busy with their own teams to provide information unprovoked. i think its super results oriented to keep chilly after winning, brett farve won that game. chilly, for a supposed offensive genious he sucks at knowing the right strategies and his play calling is super super conservative.

fwiw, i was listening to mariucci on nfl network and he remembered a converstaion with chilly which gave me goosebumps. he asks chilly about being a new coach of the vikings and apparently he said "ya know mariucchi, im not a homegren or a belichek, i may not get another chance so im going to go down with the ship doing it my way"

its weird how the entire sports world is lolololol results oriented with coaches, but pretty good with players in that regard.

edit: well, only young players i guess. and i suppose that makes sense. people are fooled by variance, but they do get that young players get better (which isn't about variance)

I think this is the first time, since the uniform change, they've worn purple pants on the road in a regular season game.

IF the announcers are correct, Chilly's giving CHI the ball to start both halves.

I've never been a Toby Gerhardt hater like some other Vikings fans. I think he's gotten better with the ball in his hands as the season's progressed. (Sucks at pass protection still). He's had a couple nice plays today so far. Of course, chilly gonna chilly and doesn't put AP back in when he should.

he's embarrassed himself most of this year but nothing he could do today. no protection, no WR's, no cleats. conversely, no pass rush and no coverage. our D-line seems overly concerned with tipping passes... it's cool to do when you're getting no push and see the QB about to throw, but when you have an open run at the qb you cannot leave your feet for pump fakes.

?

Favre was pretty sharp today actually. Zero of his int's were his fault today. Two receivers fell down and I forgot the other, but either he was hit as he threw or the ball was tipped, I think due to McKinnie missing a block. Also there were several drops. Add the fact that most of our receivers dont know where they should be and I dont think any QB would have much success trying to run this offense.

Favre is not this team's problem. The head coach is problem #1, and the blocking is problem #2. Problem #2 would likely be less of a problem with a real head coach. The pass protection and run blocking have both been putrid since chilly took over. When Tice was here, we didn't really have to think about that stuff, and Tice was not a great coach.

The scroll at the bottom of ESPN said something about Zygi saying he has no plans to fire chilly. I hope he's lying or something. wtf is it going to take? Do we cheer for the Pack to beat us next week so we're dead & buried, making it a cinch that chilly will get fired then, or will Wilf wait & see how the season plays out? wtf

It seems like I have been saying this the past couple weeks, but our defense is so vanilla. We still have good passrushers, but we never stunt or anything so the o-line knows exactly who to block everyplay and when we cant punish ****** o-linemen we won't get a passrush.

I have been very impressed with Guion seems like he is always making plays when he gets in the game. I do think our passrush has sucked, but we have also gotten very unlucky it is insane how many big conversions have happened when qbs have had absurd scrambles vs. us.

Favre actually played okay today, but **** him. We need to start TJax this season is over, Favre is meh at best now and we need to give TJax a shot so we can best optimize our QB situation in the offseason.

Speaking of vanilla, how ****ing vanilla was our offense today. They only success we had all year passing the ball was when we went three wide and no huddle vs. Arizona, we did not do that once today (Berrian getting injured helped, but Chilly looooooooves Greg Lewis)

Also lol @ redzone play calling. Draw on third and 7, run to Toby on 1st and 10, draw to Toby on 2nd and 9.

hes oviously a smart guy but i really dont know what he thinking. the perfect time to fire chilly would have been before arizona and keep moss. now im just confused because im guessing the only reason hes around is because wold doesnt want to eat the salary. It must be cringeworthy to be zigi, hes definitely done his best to put a good product out there.

Now that they are pretty much out of the playoffs i hope he isnt thinking he might as well not eat the salary if they arent making the playoffs anyway. if your planning on getting a coach next season though you might as well see if frazier is capable, we saw how completely different things changed today in dallas. in that same vein i agree we need to start tjax and see what he can do and see if maybe we need to draft a qb next year.

its kinda depressing but its about time to think about a better future without chilly, the question is who. Im not sure how realistic getting someone like cowher would be, gruden will probably be in dallas, A sick darkhorse would be harbaugh, maybe rob ryan?
