yup. Teddy's potential looked good before the injury, but we never really knew what we had with him because the O line was so bad. Since he got injured, that makes him a much bigger question mark.

We're getting a proven guy who is under 30 and he has never had a team around him as good as we have. Its time to get excited.

our DTs are old, sheldon's on 1-year deal and eagles demonstrated there's never too much d-line depth. wouldn't mind drafting DT for the future if they're BPA

What do you guys think of the Hughes pick? To me, he looks like he has potential to be all-pro. I had wanted the best OLman available, but I think we might have made a great choice. I watched some videos of him and he has great hands, speed, strength and looks like he probably has a good FBIQ. He looks like a great kick and punt returner too.

edit: I read that Zimmer says he wants to run out some 5 DB packages with 4 CBs and 1 S.

Last year I wanted Eiflen in round 2. We traded up for Cook. Still ended up w/ Eiflen in round 3. This team makes me nervous because they have waited in the past on guys and ended up w/ Clemmings, Beavers... but hopefully Spielman will still walk away with a quality lineman. Could definitely see a trade up in play.

Hughes seems pretty awesome, didn't know as much about him before the draft but had definately seen his name floated around in the top CB discussion. Coming off a pretty dominant year for UCF. If you're playing against GB and you need 3 starting CBs obviously you need to start training camp with more than 3 functional players so I don't mind the perceived lack of need. Hope Mack/Waynes continues to develop and if this guy comes in and pushes 1 to the side all the better.

10% nervous about Zimmer bringing up return ability. After seeing Patterson/Waynes/Treadwell used primarily as punt gunner and **** as rookies I really hope they didn't weigh the return stuff too highly. Sherels has no coverage ability and his price has gone up (still just 2M tho). Could see them thinking Sherels is a less than optimal use of a roster spot and they'd rather a guy that's a DB first returner second.

hernandez was my preference but ive learned not to question vikings draft strategy. hughes seems like a ****** but thats prob why he fell to us so w/e

Cousins is very good. That pass to Diggs where he threw Diggs open on the sideline is something he does very well. I think we will see a lot of that this season.

pretty tilting that we didn't keep him as our backup given how cheap he went for.

Didnt he want to play for a team that he would have a chance to start for? He would not have had that here.

If Jets turn Teddy into a draft pick (and only eat 500k or w/e) it will be a good move but they should have never signed McCown. Teddy + Darnold would have been a good situation and they save 10M. McCown is 39 years old, the 3rd best QB on the team right now and tied for the Jets highest cap hit this season (10M w/ T. Johnson CB from Rams).

Schedule is absolutely brutal though

is about as tough as you can possibly get for a road schedule, and they have a Home vs Saints game in there, and the 2 Packers games as well.

Packers also drew @NE, @LAR(talk about lucksack for both of those teams, home vs the good teams in division, road vs the bad ones) but could easily win the division despite being weaker h2h just off the Schedule gap

Yea we aren't going 16-0, but we should go 7-1 at home, and probably 4-4 on the road. 11-5 wins us the division most likely.
