i wonder if after favre owned childress he decided to exact revenge by benching mckinnie in favor of an even worse LT so peppers could mutilate favre even worse?

all i can gather is we do not play well on grass on the road on primetime... that doesn't bode well for MNF. if vikes can roll i'll feel a little better about our chances but obv if we lose gg season imo.

You guys are right about Tyrell. He's the worst starting safety I can ever remember see playing for the vikes.

MIN loses out to go 11-5
AZ beats GB and is 11-5
Philly beats Dallas to go 12-4

That would mean:

1. Saints
2. Philly (12-4)
3. AZ (11-5) head to head tiebreak
4. MIN (11-5)
5. GB (10-6) head to head
6. DAL (10-6)

GB at MIN first round

Cannot meet in the first round any other way. Can meet in second round if MIN gets bye.

Here you guys really should get ready....

The only thing the Vikes have to worry about two weeks from today is who to draft..

At this point I'm just hoping we don't pull a 41-0 in the playoffs again, and at least can retain some dignity on the way out.

I'd rather lose 41-0 to Arizona that 32-31 to Green Bay

I wish there was a scenario where the Vikings were knocked out of the playoffs completely.

So was last week and tonight's first half Chilly imposing his will on the O trying to take over? I mean, seriously, what the heck is he doing? The free-wheeling O of mid-season is what can get us to the Super Bowl, so why are we getting Tahi and 2 TE's again.

His fingerprints were all over the 1st and goal drive before Rice's tying TD catch. On first down, bubble screen which hadn't worked previously. 2nd down, Harvin reverse action as a decoy=fail. He's got the extension, now he's back trying to get cute and outsmart himself again.

I loved the play when we got inside the Chi 5 due to spreading the field & Chilly sends in 14 tight ends. Favre tries to wave them off the field to no avail. 1st down we run right for a 3 yard loss because most of the Bears defense was in the backfield when Taylor got the handoff. Sportscenter mis-reports the 3 yard loss play as the spread offense & somehow being Favre's idea.

2nd down we spread the field & throw a TD.

Has an owner ever fired a coach the same year he signed the coach to an extension? I wonder if there is an "out" clause?

I blame Ben Leiber (after chilly obv) first drive in the carolina game, should've picked up that fumble and scored and we roll. First drive chicago game, should've picked off cutlah and it would've led to 5 more picks.

At least Farve's collapsed has started after he's already got the playoffs locked up, but playoffs are going to be one and done.

That first half was so terrible I don't even want to talk about it except to say that I hope Zygi rethought the Chilly extension.

Ultimately we lost that game because of special teams, we win the game if Longwell hits the PAT and if our kick coverage unit doesn't gift the bears midfield.

Antoine Winfield can't play man vs. shifty WRs, please stop putting him in man.
Sanford >>> Tyrell.
Part of this was Cutler doing a really good job of evading the rush, but what happened to our front four getting a pass rush. I thought we were the best dline in the league.

In the 2nd half we looked like we looked all year long (outside of awful special teams) hopefully this is a precursor for things to come and not an anomaly.

ADP has had fumbling problems, however that fumble wasn't bad. Hillenmeyer got two perfect punches right on the ball, he held on to for the first one and it popped out on the second one. ADP was great all game long (except for the first series of the game).

Chillyball moments of the week
Chester Taylor draw on the first series
Chester Taylor run on on the game tying TD drive.
Kleinsasser split outwide on the game tying play.

The taylor draw on the first possession made me laugh out loud. 3rd and long? 2 failed running plays so far? SHIP IT TO C. TAYLOR IMO. Jesus.

The AP fumble was not even close to forgivable imo. He has less field vision that TJ. How many times have we seen him beat (get past) an open field tackle to completely forget about the guy behind him who comes up to "surprise tackle" him at best and punch out the ball at worse when he runs into traffic.

Regardless the goat of the game wasn't even close to AP, it was winfield who looked like a college running back out there trying to defend against the pass.

Awesomely pessimistic prediction:

Vikings somehow play the packers in the dome in first playoff game and lose in last 5 minutes. Favre gives the finger to the camera as he walks off. Zygi sees stadium support collapse and rapidly sees his public image become similar to Norm Green's. Your 2010 starting quarterback: Sage Rosenfels.

WTF you Favre haters all the same. Collapse? Where, because his team lost? You give me one good argument where Favre cost this game.

Does Chilly call the plays or is it Darrell Bevill, because I thought the play calling was atrocious. No idea and understanding sometimes in what was getting called. What was with the goal to go situation and calling bubble screens and some gay ass tricky dicky fake to Harvin? Throughout the game I saw some horrible calls and was baffled as to what was happening.

In the 2nd half the offense was able to do whatever it wanted, run or pass, why are you getting tricky in a goal to go situation?

As a Packers fan I still say this game made me sick.

Also, anyone able to get a hold of 2 playoff tix?

He was horrible, other than special teams, he is the reason for the loss. I thought he was pro bowl caliber, what happened?

Pudge, I basically agree with all that.

Grue, I dont even want to think about your prediction, but it could very well be right.

babcats, I agree with the playcalling being atrocious. I sit there and call out the play theyre going to run as soon as I see the formation about half the time. If a random football fan who watches 3 hours of football a week can do that, do you think the other team who watches countless hours of film might know what youre going to do?

All the BS a while back about the players tipping plays was misguided. Its our stupid formations tipping plays imo.

chilly & bevell have fps too.

Saying AP was horrible is ridiculous. The fumble was horrible, but aside from that he was very good. Our offensive line and coaches are horrible, not AP.
