I agree.

If the Vikings can somehow find a way to get these guys off the books, that would free up money to sign Jefferson and possibly another decent player.
Cook - yeah, I love him, but we can't keep that salary and I don't know for sure, but I think a meaningful restructuring of his deal wouldn't do us much good.
H Smith - I want him back under a restructured deal. He was mis-used by _onatell and still can play.
Theilen - he needs a restructured deal as well as I think I read we can't save a whole lot more by just cutting him vs restructuring his deal. He was pretty productive for a #2 last season, but he was just not as good as he used to be.

We have way too many past 30 "overpaid" players.
Many times during the season, I was yelling "KENDRICKS SUCKS!". Looking back, I think part of that might be because of bad coaching. He does either need to be restructured or cut though.

Bynum kind of sucks too. Our defensive draft choices have been dreadfully bad the past several years.
And despite the shape our D is in, I think interior O line is our greatest need. Cousins takes more of a beating than anyone in the NFL and he never misses a game due to injury. I can't elaborate on this, but I have a source who knows he does have some issues, but he keeps playing though them. I don't know how much longer he will be any good if we keep allowing him to get beat up every game.
We NEED a strong C who doesn't wind up in Cousins lap before he sets his feet to throw. We could use an upgrade at LG - Ezra really isn't very good. We need much improved play at RG - Ingram either needs to improve a LOT, or we need to find a good replacement.
Good teams who win Super Bowls do not have O lines that can't pass block.
