13-4 w/ -3 point differential. Weirdest team ever.

As a Vikings fan my entire life I'm terrified about today. 13-4 seems way too good to be true -- which means we are likely to either get whooped 41-0 or push a "gimme" FG wide left to lose the game. Please don't let it be true.

Not quite sure how upset/disappointed everyone is generally feeling right now, but from a very casual fan point of view, that was a really fun season. Hopefully make some defensive improvements and go again next year.

Players that I would like to see gone next year: Dalvin Cook, Harrison Smith and Adam Theilen. Cook definitely lost a half step this year and could not make a guy miss. Harrison Smith is a shell of his former self. Out of position constantly and missing a ton of open field tackles. Adam Theilen just cant get separation any more. If the Vikings can somehow find a way to get these guys off the books, that would free up money to sign Jefferson and possibly another decent player.

Kendricks has really lost a step as well.

We have way too many past 30 "overpaid" players.

Also, really starting to feel just how bad the Vikings have drafted the past 5 years on the defensive side. Besides Bynum, have they drafted a player that has been a consistent contributor?

Cook - yeah, I love him, but we can't keep that salary and I don't know for sure, but I think a meaningful restructuring of his deal wouldn't do us much good.

H Smith - I want him back under a restructured deal. He was mis-used by _onatell and still can play.

Theilen - he needs a restructured deal as well as I think I read we can't save a whole lot more by just cutting him vs restructuring his deal. He was pretty productive for a #2 last season, but he was just not as good as he used to be.

Many times during the season, I was yelling "KENDRICKS SUCKS!". Looking back, I think part of that might be because of bad coaching. He does either need to be restructured or cut though.

Bynum kind of sucks too. Our defensive draft choices have been dreadfully bad the past several years.

And despite the shape our D is in, I think interior O line is our greatest need. Cousins takes more of a beating than anyone in the NFL and he never misses a game due to injury. I can't elaborate on this, but I have a source who knows he does have some issues, but he keeps playing though them. I don't know how much longer he will be any good if we keep allowing him to get beat up every game.

We NEED a strong C who doesn't wind up in Cousins lap before he sets his feet to throw. We could use an upgrade at LG - Ezra really isn't very good. We need much improved play at RG - Ingram either needs to improve a LOT, or we need to find a good replacement.

Good teams who win Super Bowls do not have O lines that can't pass block.
