Good to see that the Twins inability to beat the Yankees on the road has transferred to the new stadium.

Also it's amazing how any Yankee that's in a slump and starting to get some hate from the NY media immediately snaps out of it vs. the Twins.

last inning bremer was talking about span has had a bad series defensively. i've only seen about 1/3 of the innings in the series. what is he refering to? i saw the poor throw on the matsui tagup today but that's it.

what a sick baseball play, Mauer tag

(willie, the inside the park HR was a tough play on Span)

jesus someone get the bat out of the way on that play (yeah i realize there was really no one who could)

what a cheerleader tool bremer is. it was a nice play but i don't watch the game to listen to bremer have orgasms. i bet he has shirtless joe mauer posters in his bedroom.

it's not just his enthusiasm that bugs me - i could forgive that easily. there's something condescending about him that i just can't stand. he's not a baseball person but he acts like it's his place to make all these huge homer statements about things he doesn't really know all that much about, and further, he acts like he's telling us things we wouldn't know if he didn't tell us.

I think Michael Kay (yankees announcer) might like the play more than your announcer.

Only about 2 more months before Mauer qualifies for batting title, odds he is >.400 when it happens?

you mean, when he gets to 502 PA? or when he gets enough PA to get on the official leaderboard?

if the latter, ill say 7.5:1 against

I like how Dick toes the company line regarding sac bunts. Anytime someone got on this series, 'Now we'll see if Brian Buscher will be bunting' 'a chance for Tolbert to bunt him over' 'We'll see if Justin lays down the sacrifice here'

Yeah, the latter obv. It was mostly just a joke re: the Chipper Jones hullabaloo from last year.

The Chipper .400 thread was phenomenal.

agree, should be stickied, and I anticipate a redux if Mauer is >.400 after getting enough PA to qualify for leaderboad.

This just sucks. This has been a pretty well played series imo but the Twins are completely incapable of winning in Yankee Stadium every year. Every time we get a lead I just know we're going to give it right back. I'm starting to get convinced that the Yankees are cheating in some way to constantly pull this crap on us. Ever since that scarring Giambi grand slam game....

At least this time it looks like they're just going to blow us out. I'd much rather see them pile it on and beat us like 15-2 than have to take another soul crushing loss like the first three.

I like how the guy you guys are warming up to stop the damage, has the modern record for most HR's allowed in a game, and most wild pitches in an inning. (former Ranger great RA Dickey)

p.s. greear, the twins are not playing the tigers (although we did just have a series against them last week iirc, so maybe you are confused)
