I was in the car and listened to the first inning on the radio. Was Tolbert's bunt in the first inning a bunt for a base hit or was he trying to sacrifice him over?

I guess could be wrong but what pitching metric are you using?

Swarzak should probably get called up as a reliever. I can't take Luis Ayala anymore. Next time he comes in and it's less than a six run game I'm going to punch someone.

Meh, the Twins starting staff is very solid. Their bullpen is a mess but their two best MiL relievers are both in AA right now.

Anthony Slama has 28ks in 17ip so far in AA this season. Also has 10 walks though. He is also 25 but only in his 3rd season of pro ball.
Robert Delaney has 26 Ks and 4BB in 23ip in AA.

I hope you're right but there's certainly no evidence that there's anything solid about the starting pitching. What particularly do you like about this staff?

What don't you understand?

All our starters are < 28 (Baker is the oldest at 27)
Had ERAs last year of: 3.45, 3.91, 3.99, 4.05, 4.41
Combined K:BB 501: 179

The league average for the AL era last year was 4.34 (I don't know what it was for starters though)

Crain balks in the go ahead run with two outs thanks to a sick bluff by Granderson.

Twins get it right back bottom 13, this game might not end

or Joe Crede could hit a grandslam, after nearly ending the game in his last at bat

pretty sick game.

I'm trying not to like Tolbert and hope for Harris at 2b/2nd in the order. But, he keeps doing something to suppress that urge.
