Bench Gomez!

Kill the bullpen!

Give Punto some steroids!

Mauer for MVP of the world!

Wait, are you deriding Gardy for benching Gomez or cheering him on? Gomez needs to be playing every day. For the ML team. Young on the other hand has no business playing in the MLB at this point.

+1 for moving span to left, gomez to center and benching delmon, i mean they're both pretty horrible offensively but at least gomez adds some value on defense...it hurts my eyes watching delmon play the outfield

browsing thru the Twins blogosphere this afternoon the general consensus/current conspiracy is that the front office is forcing Gardy's hand, making him play Young over Gomez, hoping to get Young's trade value up so that they can ship him out. Now if that's true, it makes no sense whatsoever to have Gomez riding the bench. Send him down so he can play every day.

And when you think about it, the above speculation makes a little sense. Gardy values Defense and scrappiness and little things (speed, bunting) way way over offensive capabilities. So Gomez would be out there instead of Young if Gardy's hand wasn't being forced.

The fact is imo that one of those guys should not be on the ML roster right now and it's stupid that they haven't done something about it.

Also, Matt Guerrier should be the #1 high leverage RH setup right now over Crane. MG's been pitching great the last 3 weeks or so.

Wtf is wrong with Crain? We tried the DL- that didn't help him obviously.

Anyway, MG is awesome, when he's given the time between appearances that he needs. He faded big time down the stretch last year and we can't let that happen.

Delmon Young playing at MLB can only hurt his trade value. Send him down to AAA so he rakes, then try to convince teams that his "potential" is still there imo.

Or just cut your ****ing losses and trade him to someone now for some bats.

You mean actual wood bats, not people who are good at using them, correct?

So, to clarify matters. We gave up a MLB starting SS and a #2 caliber SP (Bartlett/Garza) for a guy we don't want (Young) and another guy who isn't ahead of Matt Tolbert in the pecking order (Harris) and we gave up the best pitcher in baseball (Johan) for a guy we don't play (Gomez) and a guy no one else wanted (Humber passed thru waivers).

Bartlett is really good. ++ defensive SS who isn't a disaster at the plate? Yes plz.

Although, to be fair, Punto is a pretty good SS too. I've really come around on him.

Bartlet has more HR this year than Punto will have in his life.

They said Redman was a .292 career hitter. Thats pretty insane for a lifelong backup catcher....

I'm only listening on the radio but is sure sounds like.

Really fills you w/ confidence when your terrible right handed reliever comes in and promptly gives up a hit to Adam Everett...
