Two good players who should both start.

A friend of mine gave me tickets to last night's game at the last minute. Prior to that, I wasnt planning to go to any games this season. If the trade hadnt happened and the two new guys werent going to play, I probably would have turned the tickets down. It wound up being a lot of fun. The fact that Rose didnt play was a bonus.

Aside from Wiggins' laziness and lackadaisical play most of the game, the team played with energy and was mostly fun to watch. They moved the ball well for most of the game except for a lull during the 2nd half, but they came back and finished strong at the end. They played good defense most of the game vs a good WC team.

I like Saric a lot. He's a little like a PF version of Rubio who can also shoot well. He seems to have a very high BBIQ and he hustles and is always looking to make a good pass. I think he has a very high ceiling.

Covington is a solid defender who can make shots when he's open. He's good. Its good to have two additional players who are good at defense and making 3s.

Great trade imo. Now we just need to fire Thibs and we may have a bright future.

If only for the fact he hustles and plays defense when this team has lacked both of those over the last several years, Okogie is by far the most enjoyable player to watch on this team.

It seems like multiple years each of two useful players is clearly worth more than disgruntled Jimmy for the rest of this year?

It pisses me off that Okogie doesnt get any playing time when Rose and Wiggins are both healthy though. Who would have thought that this team with the terrible bench from last season would have good players on the bench who dont see any game time? We have depth!

I really like both Covington and Saric.

Okogie needs to be playing. I don’t really see a need for both Jones and Rose on the team. I think one of them needs to go.

Tyus is probably the odd man out. He was best when he was the 5th best player on the court that didn't have to do much except make the right play and take care of the ball. With Jimmy gone we're gonna need a little bit more from the PG. That said, Rose is hurt really frequently, as is Teague now.

AND those jerseys!! The Purple warmups were the coolest things i've ever seen.

That stat is unbelievable. What is even more unbelievable is that there is no room in the rotation for okogie when the players in front of him are putting up gaudy numbers like that.

One of them had 6 reb., 1 ast, 3 stls, 3 blks and played fantastic defense.

The other had 1 reb. 1 ast., 0 stl., 0 blk and looked like a spectator when he wasnt missing bad shots.

Wiggins is ****ing terrible.

I don't understand this. Thibs is obviously a moron, but I'd think that Okogie would be a player he'd absolutely love.

Okogie is the exact type of player (hustles, plays d, does the little things) that you think thibs would LOVE. However, If you understand thibs is a ******, you’ll understand why okogie gets no run.

Seems worthy of a max contract to me.....

Question: if Andrew Wiggins was not the #1 overall pick, do you think he gets a max contract?

I think if he was a mid-Late first round pick and had the exact same start to his career and possessed the exact same “potential” , that he would not of gotten the max.
