Maybe the variance of close games goes in our favor this year. Wiggins!!!

yeah, i mean, we're sooooo due. Two heaves have gone in already this year after a decade of seeing that happen against us every 10 quarters or so.

Sample size and all, but I am anxiously awaiting the crunch time lineup of Towns/Bjelica/Butler/wiggins/Teague. Taj was pretty bad tonight, and even if he didnt fumble the ball or make poor passes, he would have still been a liability on the offensive end imo.

Every time Bjelica has gotten on the court it seems like good things have happened. he was looking good last year before he got hurt too. It would just open up so much for us in crunch time.

Obviously it's an ideal situation and gleaning through the small amount of minutes he's gotten, but he's the ideal pairing on our current roster next to towns imo. playing butler or wiggins as a small ball 4 is nice in theory, but why not just have a 6'10 guy play it that has ran an offense before?

Why the hell is Shabazz starting? Why is he playing at all? He has to be the most frustrating player I've ever seen. Literally shoots no matter how terrible the shot every time he touches the ball.

We have zero depth, no other choice. Bazz will have to start the 15 or so games Butler misses every year.

God help us if we suffer an actual injury.

Jeff Teague has been fooking terrible in 3 of 4 games. Tyus has been a 3/10 and is our best point guard.

Because Thibs spent all the money on Taj to not improve the team over just playing Dieng and Bjelica

Truth. I've been banging this drum for months.

Was thinking, we would have been much better off just keeping Rubio to play as a backup PG instead of signing Taj. They make the same money.

Not that Taj has been bad, he's been good. But he's just a competent player that is in the right place and doesn't **** up. But he's not impactful or special in any way and those guys make like $5M mid-level exemptions.

Wing depth is terrible. Crawford and Gibson were both awful which makes sense as they're olds and it was a back to back. Bazz was terrible but i can't really get too mad at him as he's a league minimum player pressed into a starting role.

Butler misses 15 games every year and it looks like we'll lose all of them.

Two miracle shots from 0-5...

This lack of effort is maddening. This team has tons of talent, but has no work ethic at all from their two most talented players.

I was very against the Taj Gibson sign and Rubio trade and mildly against the Teague sign when it happened. Teague has proven me wrong - I should have been against him the most.

Gibson is actually better than I expected so Id be ok having him if, say, we didn't sign Teague, kept Rubio, and signed one other solid free agent.

But the way it happened was awful - and it seemed obviously awful at the time. I was holding out hope that Thibodeau knew something the rest of us didn't and it would all make sense when we saw the team in action. Butnah

The Taj signing was always stupid given that the Wolves had two PF's in Dieng and Bjelica that he isn't clearly better than , (in fact you can make a fairly good case he is the worst of the 3), whilst the team had literally zero depth on the wings.

Bench is getting killed. Roster construction is terrible.

Man, Markkanen-Towns would have been absolutely unguardable.

why pay for wing depth when you can get jamal crawford and somehow luckbox shabazz?

I think gorgui is expendable this year, and I think by the halfway mark bjelica will supplant Taj as the starter. probably wishful thinking but he's looked good this year and his skill set is so sexy next to Towns.

hey,
I wanted Markkanen Isaac or Collins, but I wanted Butler more. Markkanen looks solid faster than I thought.

Someone post in this thread if at some point this season this team stops being lazy slobs, it's too frustrating to watch. I find myself yelling at the TV the entire game.

ps Teague is ****ing terrible, I miss Ricky

Teague was really good tonight, arguably the most valuable.

Wiggins was good down the stretch and that dunk was filthy. Butler played well defensively against Dragic. Bjelica looked great again.

Defensively it was a mixed bag. They forced a lot of turnovers and at times put Miami into some tough spots, but those moments did not outweigh the poor rotations again.
