We must be the worst 4th quarter team in the history of the NBA.

my girls team had 38 in the 2nd half tonight, and we're not that good.

Team is so fun to watch when they roll like that.

yeah. Its too bad we cant be more consistent. And play more teams that dont seem to care - Denver looked like they did not want to play last night.

Using Randy Foye as a primary ball handler is not a recipe for success. Ricky had 7 steals.

Ricky 11-1-12-7-5 (pts-reb-assists-steals-stitches)

That game was a major "Just when i think i'm out, they pull me back in!" one for me. F tanking.

It's basketball porn when this team is firing on all cylinders

Tanking is stupid, winning games is fun. Hopefully PEK is back after the break and Chase can continue to get his legs back underneath him. We're gonna need him.

yeah, **** tanking. Win now.

We will need PEK and probably KMart back and playing well if we're going to make a run at the playoffs. If Bud can shoot any better, that will change this team quite a bit. We just dont have enough guys who can put the ball in the basket. PEK and KMart are two of our best, and if Bud can shoot well, we could have the team we were hoping to see at the beginning of the season. I just hope it isnt too late.

I will say, Turiaf and GORGUI have really reminded me that rim protection is nice.

Kinda makes me think that maybe Love and PEK shouldn't always be playing together, that splitting their minutes a little more might make sense. Turiaf really covers up KLove's warts. PEK could play with DC maybe to space the floor. Obviously there would still be some overlap to get to 32 mpg+ for both, but if there are 96 big man minutes to be had, I really don't see why KLove and PEK have to spend 25+ together.

We ought to have one or the other of PEK & Love on the floor 100% of the time they are both healthy and the outcome is in doubt.

That being said, they open things up for each other a lot offensively and they collect a ton of rebounds when they play together. The rim protection leaves a lot to be desired, but most everything else is damn good. Who has a better PF/C combo in the NBA?

How good would a healthy AK47 look playing alongside PEK and a healthy Love?

Pek and Rubio should always play identical minutes. Rubio's perfect pocket passes make Turiaf look bad.

There is no such thing as a healthy AK47. Might as well consider how nice Lebron would be next to Love and Peak.

We would have seen it last year if Love had not broken his hand. We might have seen it this year if Flip had half a clue because AK might not have been injured all season if he had been here. Although, with this team's luck, whatever is wrong with him now probably would have been worse. We cant ever have anything nice here.

Wait, we're blaming Flip for AK opting out of his $11M deal?

The way I understand it, when Flip talked to AK before he opted out, Flip showed no interest in signing AK to a multi-year deal and did not make AK feel like he was wanted here. AK decided to opt out and go on the market. After he shopped around a while, Flip went back and approached him about a deal for ~3 years, $21 mil. Based on things I heard from sources who posted in threads on CH, if Flip had shown any interest in the first place, AK probably would have stayed, but because of the way he was initially treated, AK turned that offer down. I do think Prokerov (sp?) made some under the table promises, but I think he also did that last season, prior to us signing AK in the first place.

I dont have links to any of this. I'm going off memory. The info is buried somewhere in CH threads from last summer and I dont know how to find any of it now.

Cha - I don't think you actually read my post. It's kind of weird you keep thinking about scenarios that don't exist or make sense in reality. I mean, a fully healthy AK47 is something that is like 7 years ago. It does not exist in this world in MN, Russia, or Brooklyn.

Now, having the broken-down AK47 that actually exists is still somewhat valuable. But I do not think he actually solves any teams' issues unless they can somehow save him up for the playoffs. The dude is just not ever fully healthy.

AK is still pretty good, but i think MIN fans should be thankful he's not on the books for 10m a year. He just misses too many games to produce that sort of value

That's about what we pay Bud + Brewer. I'd take last year's ~60 games of AK47 production for that price over the (lack of) production we're getting out of that other $10 mil paid to Brewer & Bud this year.

Yugo - I was taking about similar production to what we got from him last season.

Two nice wins in a row.

If we go ~22-6 the rest of the way, we'll probably make the playoffs

We just might, if we play like we did tonight and get healthy asap. So sick how tough the West is, be so nice to be in the East and make playoffs every year, sigh.

yeah, its not likely, but its not impossible.

If we do make the playoffs finishing the season on a 24-6 run and everyone is healthy, we'll be a tough out for any team we face. I'd like to see it be OKC. I think we match up better with them than with SA.

Not to mention that would mean multiple Russell Westbrooks at Canterbury and a rich JayTeeMe!

Totally love this team. So fun when firing on all cylinders. #14 pick here we come!
