Couldn't ask for a better time for Wolves to open their season. Get rid of that nasty taste in our mouths that is the Vikings.

Crazy game

That would have been an ugly loss.

Love looks as good as ever.

We really were completely dominating that game at some points. Then we would just start settling for or rushing some bad shots and letting Orlando back in it. We need to go down low to Pek more when the team is in a rut imo.

When the Wolves are clicking this team can do work! Going to be a fun season

God damn Rubio's shot is gross. That would have been an awful lose, facing a really bad team on a b2b at home.

Alexi needs to not play.

wtf at that 3 guard look that included Shved. Definitely would rather have Williams on the court than Shved.

Yeah schved is awful, I was wondering where dwill was didn't see him in the game at all.

The reason Shved played instead of DW is because Adelman likes players who can handle the ball.

But yeah, Shved is pretty bad right now. Which brings me back to more draft hating. We had some potentially good options available who could play guard but we pissed them away for a guy who cant (shabust). vjl110 over at Canis has been saying that shabust's best chance to become a productive player in the NBA is if he gains a little strength and becomes a backup PF, because he has some skills that would work there. No one else with his college & physical stats has ever been a productive player in the NBA, but he has the tools to potentially become an inside banger like Carl Landry.

Hopefully Bud comes back healthy soon.

He's listed at 6-6 182. Wouldn't he have to put on like 50-60 lbs and 3 inches?

idk if that weight is correct, but he has very long arms and a fine standing reach for a PF. He would need to put on weight, but with those arms, he's tall enough.

What's the point of picking up DWill's option if he's not in the rotation?

not as knowledgeable about NBA as most of you guys, but it would seem to me that barely squeezing by a below average Orlando team on back-to-back at home is not a great look.

with that said, seems like klove is back in business. martin had an off day. could be a great team if rubio becomes a real scoring threat.

sunk-cost fallacy

When one makes a hopeless investment, one sometimes reasons: I can’t stop now, otherwise what I’ve invested so far will be lost. This is true, of course, but irrelevant to whether one should continue to invest in the project. Everything one has invested is lost regardless. If there is no hope for success in the future from the investment, then the fact that one has already lost a bundle should lead one to the conclusion that the rational thing to do is to withdraw from the project.

To continue to invest in a hopeless project is irrational. Such behavior may be a pathetic attempt to delay having to face the consequences of one's poor judgment. The irrationality is a way to save face, to appear to be knowledgeable, when in fact one is acting like an idiot.....

Why was Glen Taylor sitting right next to the bench last night? He didn't do that last year, did he?

If I remember correctly, he's been sitting in those seats (when he attends games) since he bought the team. Its been several years at least.

Yeah it's definitely not a good look, but it's better than losing to the Sixers ever so don't put too much stock into it.

he should have some trade value imo.

The Lakers or the Suns being obvious destinations.

Kinda fell a little bit in love with the suns last night. I like that team.

Also, cha, this is an analytic poker forum. We all understand (or should) sunk cost. Just lol along with the rest of us, I'm worried this is the year the wolves will send you to the loony bin .

If by test, you mean bet the house on OKC, I agree.

The Wolves are 1.5 - 2.5 point favorites according to several oddsmakers. They beat OKC 2/4 games last year while being short-handed every game. This time, OKC's 2nd best player is out and they lost their 3rd leading scorer to us as a FA. I'm not saying we'll win for sure, but I like our chances.
