so if they sign brewer it means they have no faith in bazz or dwilliams to play the 3 huh

also means they are writing ak47 off of their plans as they cant seem to move d.williams or a p.g ehh

yeah, they have interest in Brewer. bleh. He's a lot better than Alan Anderson, who they have also shown interest in for some reason, but I hope Brewer isnt the best we can do.

I dont know how any team can count on any rookie for anything meaningful before he's played a minute in the NBA.

Its clear (to Adelman and anyone else paying attention) they cant count on DW to produce at SF.

They obviously need more depth at SF.

They apparently value Luke+DW more than AK47 too.

we can't find a sucker to take Luke+DW for 2 2nd round picks so that means we think they're better than AK?

Basically, people think they have enough value to dump their salaries for 2nd round picks + maybe a little more, but Taylor & possibly others over-value DW, likely because of how high he was drafted, so we're not going to just dump them to make space for AK. I think dumping them (or Barea) is basically the only way AK can come back I think.

so they rather keep them & have them getting payed while not ever getting playing time?

i mean d.williams just gonna get what ever leftover minutes from k.love.... & luke i mean i really want luke out hahhaha, everytime i saw him on the floor with rubio trying to take rubio creativity away it just urked me in a big way

Or maybe we get a pick out of it instead.

Really hate Brewer

wait what??

so with $55 milli spent your telling me we couldn't retain pek + take AK7 arg!!!

i mean dont get me wrong i like brewer & think hes solid but andrei>>both brewer+budd

i guess what flip is thinking in his head is that they both are younger + having two solid small forwards will make us more durable considering injuries is what has done the wolves in the last 2years

from that standpoint it makes sense but yea.... still want them to get rid of D.williams + ridnour contract & get ak47 hhahaha

Pay Pek less, pay Brewer not at all, sign AK. Think everyone's in agreement on this. Word is that ADELMAN doesn't like AK, believe it or not.

If Adelman doesn't like AK, that kinda changes the view of what Flip has done...hopefully Adelman has had a say in most of these transactions.

BTW, no luck in finding Flip this 4th so he escaped my wrath for now, sorry Cha

I don't think AK was ever a serious option. He wants 3+ years at like 8-10 mil per. They didn't want to pay that for a 33 year old who is injury prone.

I guess I'm the only one who doesn't think the Brewer deal is that bad. Yeah he was terrible the 1st time around but he has transformed himself into a useful role player. They needed a wing defender and he can do that. Obviously hes terrible on offense but they have more than enough of that already. Hes still only 27. Also he shot 41% on left corner 3's last year.

Yeah, I don't hate Brewer, he definitely fits better on this team then before. Come off the bench, play some D, run floor, and apparently hit some corner threes.

Brewer signing doesn't look that bad - can't be too big of a mistake. But I give it a solid mehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Bummer

I dont hate Brewer. He's a likeable guy, plays with energy and is maybe a little above avg defensively. He's cut down on TOs recently too. He is pretty bad overall offensively. I just saw a stat - over the past three seasons, on non-left corner threes, he's shot 19.5%. And he still jacks up a lot of them. He was under 30% on 3s overall last season, taking 3.7 per game. He'd be a fine ~$2.5 mil a year backup. Now we have him for 3 years at double that price. We way overpaid. That's the problem.

We've now spent $10mil on two backup SFs while happily watching AK leave for the same money, and he would have probably come back for ~3/21m.

PEK!
