bring back kahn

i would have been cool just keeping burke and trading ridnour and/or barea. burke has a fair chance of becoming a great player

shabazz:

he can’t average 1 assist /40min
he can’t get to the rim
he shoots the ball every time he touches it but can’t manage to be one of the better SGs at doing that (or even above average)….
the advanced stats hate him
the traditional scouts hate him
he wasn’t even the best SG on his own college team.

I think they're preparing to let PEK walk. They're going to let PEK walk and sign Mozgov. AK47 is gone for sure. And boy will it be fun when we overpay OJ Mayo.

Either that or draft & keep McCollum. Now we'll have the pleasure of watching two division rivals with McCollum & Burke.

Please do. Yell some from me too - tell him your friend is not renewing his lower bowl season tickets this year because of this ****ed up draft. And say OJ Mayo sucks while you're at it.

i dont get all the hate, trey burke wasn't a good pick for twolves

mccolum is a combo guard & twolves wanted a s.g with size hence why they did what they did, kcp or mclemore would of been ideal but we couldn't trade up so such is life

twolves needed a backup center due to pek injury prone self

as for whether or not shabazz will do well i cant say i know much but if twolves just drafted another 2guard bust yea it would of probably been better picking up mccolum & trading him later

p.s overall i think the move was smart, i just hope it works out

did I mention he had a total of 27 assists in 30 games last season?

no lateral quickness - cant defend. Flip even pointed this out recently.

The trade and the pick are ****ing disasters.

the worst thing about the trade is picking shabazz. if they would have made the same trade and took any of the guys who went 15-20 it would have been boring and disappointing but fine. shabazz is an awful, awful player and a cancer.

i have to see shabaaz play first, i mean the guy was to be a top 10 pick b4 college started so iono is hes as bad as people making him out to be

but i mean look at someone like derrick williams who isn't a bust but behind a kevin love backup made his stock go down on the trade market... i feel its the same thing that would happen to trey burke or mccollum

yall dont feel the same?

so, with one fell swoop

Flip managed to turn the ninth pick into an upgrade at a position of need for our two most direct rivals while drafting a player who projects to be at best a streaky shooter and at worst a complete nightmare bust. Way to go.

oh, and for those unaware, Muhammed cant play SG - he's too slow. He's a SF. Flip even said that before the draft. So we added no SG help.

Biggest screw up of the night

Dallas sold their first rounder for two worthless seconds to get rid of it. We could have stayed at nine and picked somebody decent, given up two picks which would never make the team and still have picked Shabazz or someone better. This looks like budget basketball to get lower picks and pay less.

This is what irks me, we still don't have a SG, like what is going through their heads when they make these picks

^^^ was their even a solid 2 guard left??

we also have 6'6 190 shved, probably better than any other guy his size left so i still dont get the hate

mccollum wouldn't of worked out & trey burke & ricky rubio really?, ehh...

pistons screwed up this more than anything by taking kcp grr

I'm skeptical of the Shabazz pick as well, but its tough for me to just write it off as a disaster immediately.

He was still the #1 recruit in the country only a year ago, and Ben Howland's system at UCLA has been notorious for stifling offense. Plus that team was such a disaster last year.

The only player I would've preferred was McCollum, but the last thing they need is another point guard. Shabazz was the highest upside player available, unless they wanted to gamble on some euro.

I think Shabazz could become a solid rotation player, which is really all that you can ask for in the back end of the lottery.

He is a year older than people thought. That's a pretty big deal.

26 + M Lee for a future 2nd round pick + cash.

Budget basketball indeed. Get ready to say goodbye to PEK & AK47.

I don't think so. Does UCLA, Kentucky, whoever, not want him because he's a year older?

He's the same basketball player but the point in question was w/r to being the #1 recruit.
