if irving is not available and sullinger is the BPA for the wolves pick, what do they do?

the 2nd highest projected guard in the draft is jimmer fredette. i mean i wouldn't hate ending up with him, but it would be a huge reach where the wolves will be, right?

would you trade down? trade love? play sullinger or love as a 5? draft a legit center like enes kanter instead?

i suppose my vote is to just draft sullinger and start him with love and see what happens. if one of them has to come off the bench when you play dwight howard, so be it.

Chris Brousard just said Flynn wants out the Wolves want him out. Maybe something gets done...

yeah, Rambis almost succeeded in ending Love's double double streak tonight. He sat way too long in the first half too.

The more I watch this team, the more I hate Rambis. He makes most of the players worse imo. Someone at CH said this the other day: "Rambis is quite literally setting up his guys to fail in the most broadly systemic manner possible." I couldnt agree more. He runs a stupidly complicated system that is not conducive to young players, and all he has is young players who are still learning how to play (in spite of him).

lol Flynn wants out? Out of what - the NBA? That's where he'll be soon imo. He leads the D league in TO's per game. That might be too tough of a league for him. Do they have any basketball leagues in Afghanistan? That'd be a good place for him.

Rambis benched Love for a couple minutes tonight - apparently for playing bad defense on one play. Love was livid. He was bitching at all the assistant coaches during a timeout. At one point, he & BJ Bickerstaff were talking back & forth, both covering their mouths - probably stuff they didnt want Rambis to hear imo. BJ did a lot of nodding during the conversation.

Why Johnny Flynn sees the court at all at this point is beyond me. The trade deadline has passed and we couldnt find a sucker to take him. Lets end the charade that he might someday be productive and just let him sit on the end of the bench. There was one play tonight where Love got a defensive rebound & passed it to Flynn. Flynn ****ed around behind the time line and got whistled for 8 seconds (turnover). During the next possession for NO, they got fouled and their guy was at the line. Love was glaring at Flynn with the death stare. Its pretty clear he's sick of playing with Flynn.

It sort of looked like we went away from having Darko be the primary distributor in our offense tonight. It only took ~70 games for Rambis to figure out that Darko turns the damn ball over way too often to be the "point center". Hopefully this is a new trend. Regardless, Rambis is a terrible head coach and needs to go asap.

I have a feeling were going to end up with the worst record in the NBA.

Its possible. And we'll probably wind up with the 4th pick in the draft because its rigged. And this year's draft will be weak because some of the better underclassmen will stay in school because of the looming lockout. And next year is Clippergeddon where we lose our #1 pick because of McFale's stupid trade for Marco Jaric.

Rambis threw the players under the bus in the post game press conference for the 2nd time in a few days saying something about us not having a "go to guy like Chris Paul". The previous comments he had were something about us not having "elite talent" or something.

Some people at CH are saying he is basically trying to get fired - seeing how much he can get away with.

Start out the game shooting 80% and can only build a 9 point lead. Then less than a quarter later already down by 13. This team is pathetic.

Fun game today.

Frustrating to see Flynn get so much PT.

Early in the 1st, Beasley got his 2nd foul. I think Rambis benched him until there was maybe 4 or 5 minutes left in the half. Yeah, Beasley does dumb things to get fouls sometimes, but wtf, put him back in & let him play earlier on. He was hot today and there was no reason he should have sat that long, except for Rambis trying to make a stupid point. I'd love to see him bench Flynn every time he makes a silly mistake in the same way he benches Love & Beasley. Flynn makes awful play after awful play and Rambis just sits there and watches.

Love is awesome - 37/23. People were chanting MVP a few times. Apparently Kahn tried to trade him for Anthony Randolph before the season. And it was well publicized that we wanted to sign David Lee as a FA. If we had signed Lee and not traded Love, I'm sure Rambis would have played Love ~20 mins a game this year. If we had traded Love for Randolph, I think we might have had a real chance to break the all time loss record for a season. Neither Rambis nor Kahn had any idea how good Love was before that 31/31 game happened.

Wes played something resembling defense on Ellis today, which was nice and out of character for him. That block on Ellis' shot that would have given GS the lead with ~5 seconds left was awesome. He also stole the ball from Curry at the very end when they had a chance to tie it.

Curry is good. Most Wolves fans I know wanted Kahn to draft him when we got Flynn. Everyone in the NBA thought the Flynn pick was a reach when it happened. ugh.

Fire Kahn. Fire Rambis.

We have a little potential on this team despite the mismanagement. I'd love to see a good coach & GM take over before the offseason starts. I wonder if Jerry Sloan would be interested.

wow, you must hate pro basketball or something. Love & Beasley were both very good today and it was a close game that went down to the final play. Seeing a guy go off for 37/23 does not happen often.

37 points on 13 shots! 8 players since 1986 have scored 35 or more points on 13 or fewer shots. None of them had 23 rebounds.

Yeah, this was one of the top games of the season.

Don't make it to too many, but I still love going to Wolves games. Sure, winning games and a packed Target Center is nice, but it's cool seeing a lot of the same loyal fans who always seem to stick around.

Edit: 50 straight double doubles. Too easy. Winning.

3 straight 20/20s now. Love is awesome.

Pek is playing really well lately. This is what I expected to see out of him sooner. That spin move tonight was awesome. He is a beast.

Anthony Randolph is going to be fun to watch. The dude can handle the ball better than most of our wings and he's basically a big 4 or a skinny 5. His outside shooting leaves something to be desired, but he seems to know he should drive to the hole, and is active on offense and defense. He's a good rebounder too. We got a steal getting him for Brewer imo.

If we ever get a real head coach, this could be a fun team to watch again.

Last night, Indiana played the worst pro basketball game I can ever remember seeing. The Wolves didnt look particularly impressive, but the game was never really close.

I hope Love's knee is ok. He was outplaying everyone on the floor hobbling around on 1.5 legs last night.

^ Bynum putting a nasty cheap shot on Beasley. fwiw, Bynum not only got a flagrant 2 and ejected for that, he got suspended for two more games.

Rambis says, "I know Andrew, he wasn't going up to do anyting malicious," Rambis said. "He was just going to protect the basket. So I think he was making a good basketball play out of it. Those [flagrant fouls] are judgment calls by the referees. Unfortunately, Michael got hurt on it."

http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2011/3/1...-beasley-video

wtf?! How about standing up for your own player, asshat?

During the time the refs were reviewing the play to decide whether to call it a flagrant 2 foul and eject Bynum, Rambis called Luke over to the sideline to talk to him. Derek Fisher follows Luke over, poking his head into the conversation.

The player on an opponent trying to insert himself into a huddle between the coach and his player. Any decent coach would tell the opponent to get the f*ck outta there. Rambis shared a laugh with good ol’ D Fish about the situation.

Fire Rambis right now. He clearly doesn’t give a **** about our players or winning.

Today's 32 point blowout loss at home vs the worst team in the western conference should seal the deal, but I doubt it will.

My thoughts exactly Cha, that was one of the cheapest shots ever against one of your best players and that is what you have to say about it?!
