Money well spent imo, :P.

If Wiggins shooting a 3 is a thing, I'm pretty damn excited. I was really surprised Teague didn't play down the stretch. I know, hot hand and all, but I don't think Teague was really playing bad and I don't think Tyus was really playing well. Game 1 to do that to your starting PG seems weird to me.

hot hand? Tyus had 3 points, all on a 2nd quarter and-1. He had 1 assist.

Still, the offense looked like a clogged toilet whenever Teague was in.

that's my point. if tyus was playing well and leading them back, it would make more sense to have him close out the game, but he really wasn't playing well. That's why I don't get the benching of Teague in crunch time. Game one seems a bit early to start pulling a starter down the stretch when the reason you brought them in was spacing and pnr.

Wiggins could barely hit the ****ing rim on free throws Jesus christ, Taj was gross, Teague was bleh, that was definitely a game that should have been won. Pumped for the game tomorrow though, i heard they put new seats in during the renovation hopefully they gave us a little more leg room

Taj is pretty good defensively, but they left him open for a lot of shots and he bricked most of them - hopefully that improves.

I dont see Gorgui's place on this roster anymore. If he cant get more than 14 minutes vs one of the only teams in the league that uses two bigs at a time, what's going to happen vs most other teams? I'd love to see a trade for a useful wing.

This was very frustrating. Its a different game at the end if he goes 8/9 instead of 4/9.

KAT was bad defensively, but that particular play I think he tripped on someone's foot and lost his balance.

Yeah, just about everyone played bad. The offense was lethargic, but for a lot of the game Teague wasn't even initiating it, it was an even mix of him, butler and wiggins. The defense got wrecked by amazing spurs passing and still we had a chance to win down the stretch.

Not defending Teague's play, he was a non factor until late in the second quarter. However with so many new parts I would just put my starters in for game 1 because I think they give me the best chance to win...and hopefully they figure it out. Now, if a few games down the road it becomes a repeat pattern, or if Tyus is playing in god mode, then make an adjustment.

It's just interesting to me because Teague and Crawford are basically the only guys on the roster that Thibs hasn't coached before this year. Maybe it's a constant issue in practice, or maybe Thibs is playing favorites, idk.

Nobody played over 35 minutes though, so maybe Thibs was just giving all of his guys minutes to figure out where the roster is at.

I would have liked to see Bjelica play more, I thought he really gave us a boost off the bench.

Towns twice lost his balance and fell into teammates last night. Cuz he's fat.

He was fat and lazy at the start of last year too.

About where i am.

This team better stop sucking fast because watching a bunch of olds i have no connection to stand around confused before chucking bad shots while nearly completely marginalizing our 2 young superstuds was not good watching.

yeah, good things happen when he plays. His defense is actually good and when he isnt turning down wide open shots, he's pretty good offensively too. His driving and passing skills are both good for a guy with true PF size.

Holy crap that was sloppy.

Being the seasoned MN sports fan that I am, I was pretty sure with 4.5 minutes left, up 10 with the ball that we were going to find a way to blow it. Then Wiggins promptly dribbled off his foot and out of bounds and it all went downhill from there.

Somehow we found a way to pull it off in the end though, even after that complete dip**** Wiggins foul at the end.

2 miracle Crawford 3s.

That was our only scoring in the last 4:58 until Butler's icing free throws. The offense was at max ugliness.

Rubio>>>Teague

In a vacuum yes. And the fact that we used super valuable cap space to downgrade to Teague was super tilting too. But i think Thibs' plan is to have the wings be the primary creators which would leave Rubio as completely worthless on offense. It looks like it's leaving Teague as nearly-completely worthless too tho. And the fact that he sucks defensively isn't good either.

We need like Patrick Beverly.

yeah, Wiggins is really lazy and stupid sometimes. Both those plays you mentioned had me screaming at the tv.

I miss Rubio. Teague will probably be ok in the long run, and its still painful to watch Rubio shoot, but he does everything else way better than Teague.

Crawford looks like he has a little left in the tank. I hope that continues all season.

Towns soft as **** so far this year. How many And 1 plays has he given up already? If you're going to foul the guy at least stop him from scoring!

Let's never play that "Butler at the 4" lineup ever again. It's been torched in all 3 games.

Also, Thibs needlessly burning his last timeout almost cost us for the 18th time in Thibs' timberwolves career. Thankfully we got the heave.

2-1 against the Spurs, Jazz, and Thunders! Good start!

great games too. We're a Crawford ass pull 3 and Wiggins miracle bank heave from 0-3.
