I wasn't really paying attention when this broke the other day, but wasn't Cissoko's incident actually in early June?

Anyway, those are two guys that it would hurt to lose if there's any truth to this.

Big news with MGOBLOG/Varsity Blues merger. I never read Varsity Blues but I read whatever the recruiting interviews were. I trust Brian's judgment and expect that this will lead to even more good things. OTOH, if one day in the distant future MGOBLOG Corp. has morphed into an evil corporate entity, we can look back on this day as the beginning of the end.

Varsity Blue was really, really good. I checked it with mgoblog pretty much simultaneously every day.

couldn't take it anymore, all this waaaaiting to see a game.

soo, i went and grabbed NCAA 2010 today. i've always been a Madden guy, and have never owned an ncaa game, but the rave reviews, coupled with the fact that i NEED to watch a Michigan football game, i'll have 5 in before i sleep tonight.

projected record: 1-4

either my incompetence, or our incompetence will be the culprit.

We're playing UCONN for the 2010 opener in the remodeled stadium. Eh.

I don't hate this nearly as much as a lot of people on the boards.

UConn is a program on the rise. BCS opponent. Good coaching. They'll be tough. And it's not another school from the MAC. The Northeast doesn't produce a ton of talent but it won't hurt to get some exposure there.

No, they aren't a big name, but UConn has had about as much or more success recently as some of the other names thrown about.

Since they've been working for quite a while to fill this date, I have to assume that there weren't a lot of big name schools beating down Michigan's door, even for a home-and-home series.

denard robinson/tate forcier combo in ncaa '10 is damn near unstoppable, now that i know how to use them. if they are half as effective IRL as they are on this game, exciting times are coming...wow.

bump for fall practice starting today.

mgoblue.com has a video clip every day up to the start of the season.

line opened with M a 12 point favorite over WMU. After last season, I'm a little surprised it's that large even with home field.

Any reaction on Martin's comments on recruiting? Not a huge deal, probably, but my home Michigan board blew up. Most people thought it was dumb, made it sound like RR needed a chaperone for his recruiting choices (even though 1) there was no real way to know about Feagin and 2) I don't think RR's first 20 months is any worse than any given 20-month period in Carr's tenure). It will probably keep the negative BS swirling for awhile though. I'm getting mighty sick of that.

The Feagin stuff is such BS. There is no way that RR knew anything, you can't just look up records for minors. He dismissed him immediately. Meanwhile, Dantonio reinstates Winston at the same time after a stint in jail for two counts of assault, and no one says anything.

Yeah, there seems to be a somewhat sizable portion of people who self-identify as Michigan football fans who hope RRod fails, for whatever reason. I don't get it. At all.

meh

It sounds like PR BS to me. Martin's going to do his "review" and nothing's going to change. I don't see any reason for anyone in the Michigan AD to be apologizing/giving explanations for this situation, anyway. RRod did nothing wrong here. The kid's HS coach said he had no knowledge of any issues with Feagin, ffs.

Those people are going to be sorely disappointed. I know a few of them personally. A couple of them are absolutely obnoxious about it and I will be throwing it right back in their faces when they are attempting to celebrate victories in the future with me.

Mostly old-time Michigan fans/family members.

Big Ten Network's showing Michigan on their Big Ten Football tour at 1:30 PM EST again. I watched it last night. They have a lot of good things to say about the team.

also, Talbott brothers, yay

Devin Gardner is a 5 star on scout now and probably will be on rivals whenever they do another rerank.
