Definitely. I was hoping the rumors floating around yesterday were at least partially true.

RR's biggest mistake BY FAR has been his handling of Shafer and Gerg. It's been bad.

So the bowl tie-ins for the 6th/7th/8th place big 10 teams are the Texas Bowl against the Big 12 #6 in Houston, the Dallas Football Classic against a CUSA team (doesn't specify the number), or the Little Caesers Bowl in Detroit against the MAC champ.

So as of now that would have us playing

Iowa St.
Some CUSA team, I really can't find the pecking order for this conference anywhere
Northern Illinois

Some sexy matchups right there. I assume the CUSA team would be a reasonably high number, the top 4 teams in that conference are UCF, ECU, Houston, and SMU

Assuming Purdue's a win and Ohio State and Wisconsin are losses, this Illinois game is pretty much it for all those who bet the over/under 7 line. I bet the over, so basically I'm gonna find out Saturday if I'm gonna lose money or tie and get my money back, and those who wisely bet the under are gonna find out if they're gonna win or tie. So a lot on the the line for us degenerates. Personally, I think the line should be Illinois -7, and I'm tempted to put a big bet on the Fighting Illini but I probably won't. I'm kinda gun shy after my Penn State bet, and I don't wanna spoil the game.

nah freshman QB, on the road in the big ten. michigan probably isn't as bad as we think they are either, the last loss was just hard to take.

I still like the Illini side of that line, but it's not a gimme.

+140ish on the moneyline would be the better shot if that's the way you're going obv, because when we have about a 4% chance of kicking a field goal, +3 loses a lot of its value.

quick chart for reference:

6am-2pm weekday: caffeine

noon-6pm weekend: beer
6pm-10pm weekend: beer + vodka
10pm-??? weekend: your ****ing guess.

i realize my sobriety has become a bit of a running joke, but could you explain a) how my statement to greear made you bring it up, and b) what difference it makes?

i think most people ITT know the later it gets, the less likely i am to remember the post in the morning, but what exactly about me thinking greear dislikes this team more than likes them means i'm 'hopped up'?

edit: i did just transfer 24 gallons of wine from the plastic garbage can to the glass 6 gallon w/air locks, so maybe i inhaled too much grape juice?

again, why take the +3 at -110 if you can get +130/140 on the ML?

mathematically it's not 'right', and then you as a UM fan should also know about our fg kicker.

What do you know, Ike sites an article from mgoblog for exactly how he feels on a situation. Pretty damn shocking. Oh wait, no it isn't.

lol shocking, greear can't read or post something reasonably thought out.

Well dude, it's pretty ironic how you say I sound like every dude that calls into 97.1 when all you do is site mgoblog for how you feel on given topics, no?

Yeah, I'm OK with frequently agreeing with one of the best blogs in college football over the ******s who call into talk radio.

Also, Greear, I know it's longer than 'See Spot Run', but please read the link. Respond to the fact that Denard probably leaves if we get Harbaugh. Respond to how the offense, which is #4 in the nation, is returning 9 starters, but not if you take on Harbaugh. Talk about how people like D Hart decommitting would be better for 2011.

Please figure out something that shows that firing RR will make for a better 2011. Otherwise you should probably just stfu.

agreeing with greear on this point. not necessarily at ike, but in general i guess.

though i will say i read the article earlier and agreed with most of it. but then a lot of us are probably guilty in holding brian's opinion above everything else.

Q: if brian made 'convincing arguments' to fire RRod now, how much would this thread change?

i'm absolutely not aiming that Q at ike or anyone. i'm just asking. i'm as guilty as anyone.

UM football has always been my 'favorite' sports team (lolindians, lolbrowns, LOLCAVS) in that my family/friends know not to **** with that time slot. i guess if i had to choose 1 of those 4 to win a title, i'm going indians just because i've always been a baseball guy and had my heart broken (literally tears) by them more often than the others, but that aside, UM football is IT for me.

discovering mgb intensified that to the point of obsession.

stepping back, i should probably really think about how much i take that front page into my own evaluations of this team. i can't say i'm just gonna go all greeear and start ranting to cousins and parents and my wife about 'fire RRod', but i will at least start considering that next year, 2011, which has always been 'the year' to brian/mgb followers (and a lot of others that consider experience/depth/whatever) may not be the 11-1/10-2 BCS year that we all expected.

and if it isn't, i'm open to whatever.

but i guess at this point (though illy and purdue play a HUGE part in my own personal opinion going forward), i'm still on rrod. gerg is obv the sacrificial lamb here, but whatever rrod wants, he should still get.

for now.

Ike you realize there are season after 2011, right?

How about RichRod stays and on the biggest stage Michigan Football has ever seen we get raped in Cowboy Stadium 52-24 by Bama and that sinking feeling in our stomachs come back. That feeling of knowing that what we have just doesn't work and instead of being 2 years into something that is gonna last and succeed we realize we are two years too late, Harbaugh is gone, and we have no ****ing clue what to do.

Wiper-

Brian is gonna Brian, if he was to make a post saying that RR needs to go, then it's gonna be hard to refute.

It won't be a greeatard HYACHCHAHAHACHAHAH or laughable thehip 'logic'.

catching up, why are we for sure denard leaves if Harbaugh comes?

if he's asked to switch positions, okay i can see it.

but if Harbaugh is the god-of-everything that some are promoting, he wouldn't use what he has? i assume we're talking about tate in that spot, but the only way i'd readily accept Harbaugh (who am i kidding? i'd be behind anyone) is if he immediately recognizes the fact that he has the best athlete/leading NCAA rusher and he better figure out how to use him..
