We have the better players than Georgia. We have the better team. I don't wanna hear no talk of "playing with house money". This is a game we SHOULD win.
This didn't age well. If they played that game ten times Georgia probably wins close to nine of them. Also I think it was fairly clear Georgia had the better players and your NFL analogy doesn't really work. A better fictional take would be imagine if certain teams in the NFL were allocated half a dozen to a dozen 1st round draft picks every year and another half a dozen to dozen 2nd round draft picks. Those NFL teams would quickly rise to the top over other teams that were mostly only drafting in the 3rd or later rounds. That's why certain teams in college football stay dominant. They are effectively drafting the majority of the 1st and 2nd round picks in the recruiting process every year and while not all of those recruits will end playing up to that potential it's hard to see a reality where those teams will not as a whole be wildly more talented than teams mostly only drafting/recruiting in the later rounds.

Relax, it’s a dumb Twitter meme.

Managed to not watch ~ any of the game, result also freed up my schedule for this morning. Not the ending we wanted but a season so far above expectations. Should be decent again next year but crootin will need a bump to be a consistent contender.

I mean look at Ohio State. They say the same ****. They are more talented than Michigan. They have more 4* and 5* guys. So what. None of that means **** when our OL is pushing them around, and our DL is wreaking havoc. I get that Day has built an elite Big 12 team. Easily best offense in the country. Not only do they have all those NFL wrs and future NFL offensive linemen, Stroud was just graded as the most accurate QB in the country on deep balls according to some 11warriors article I recently read. Dude is a dude. He played a helluva game vs Michigan. If he learns how to get first downs with his feet he will be right there with Justin Fields, Fields being the best QB Ohio State has ever had. But the problem is being an elite Big 12 team isn't enough no matter how many 4*/5*s/future draft picks you have. To beat Michigan you gotta play Big Ten football. You can't hide softness in this sport. That's one thing Ohio State learned the hard way this year.

Both playoff games should disabuse you from the ridiculous idea that 4* and 5* guys don’t matter.

Need to hire away TAMU's NIL guy or at least copy their program, they're going to have a top 4 blue chip ratio as soon as next year.

shiat, Brian Kelly is the only coach outperforming his BCR. Although we have a gold chip evaluator of the white chip pile in Rees Sr.

I don't understand why he's not going to the NFL but whatever. This is WAY better than getting a 5* recruit becuz this guy is a guarantee. 247 crystal balls says he's going to Michigan.

My god what if we pick up 5* Josh Conerly and Oluwatimi. That would change our already great #9 ranked class to #5 imo.

Plz god one time.
Based on this, I think you might need him:

I will never like the fact that ND is not on our schedule. I loved that game so much. Everyone in college football loses out when the two winningest programs of all time don't play each other.

Can't like ND either simply because they are our direct recruiting rivals. I must admit tho I love hearing their fight song for the very first time each college football season. I love that "college football is back" feeling. And nothing beats NDs and Michigan's fight songs.

As far as Ohio State, it's nice that things are back to the old days where a victory over Ohio State is now expected. Next year our biggest game will be at Penn State. The Ohio State game will be a mere formality. Just hope they hold onto Day as long as possible.

PS: if you're ever in Vegas on a Thursday and play euchre. I will pick you up and take you to the euchre tournament at 7:30. If you don't play euchre then you suck as a human being and need to reevaluate what youre doing with your life. This invitation is open to all Michigan posters too.
