Wtf is this. We don't play anyone with a heartbeat til Wisconsin and they dont have QB. This is gonna be one of the most stress free seasons ever.

Pequod’s for Deep Dish

Fifty/50 at Division and Damen for Wings

Au Cheval for Burgers although the wait is often 2-3 hours for 2 people so you gotta plan ahead

Tons of great Asian, Upscale, Mexican cuisine depending on where you’re staying and what you’re into.

Most refreshing thing about this game: Black is back. He's had All-American talent from day one and now we finally get to enjoy the show all year (fingers crossed).

I’m hoping that a lot of the crap we saw (2QB formations, weird fumbled exchanges, McCaffery Packages) is just weird crap that we’ll get away from in games that matter.

The 3 drives in the end of first and start of 2nd Quarters with a lot of RPO and downfield shots, we looked freaking unstoppable.

If they do this stupid **** with McCaffery at WR all year, I give up.

That was painful to watch.

I’d be willing to wager that they just wanted to get it on tape so future opponents think about it.

I’m right by the magnificent mile in the Downtown region I think it is?

Love it here, the city is great.

Gotta rewatch but some of the drives where we didn’t do goofy odd formations we looked great.

That was extremely annoying. We have the best QB depth situation in the country and yet we're running out formations where McCaffery is taking unnecessary hits.

Like I said before, Harbaugh is partially ******ed and that will always be something we just have to overcome, which in theory shouldn't be too difficult given that outside of game day Harbaugh is pretty elite.

He's ****ing autistic. But he's the best its ever going to be for us. It's like some gross dude being married to a 4 or something.

Seems like most of the game was Gattis stuff with Harbaugh AIDS mixed in with it

If Ben Mason has been completely written out of the offense, it's a ****ing travesty

Got my ticket for Saturday (Section 1 at 50 yd line on the Visitors Side).

Obv Army needs long-*** drives to shorten the game and to win the turnover battle to have a chance. Games like this are always freerolls for Service Academies and negative freerolls for Power 5 opposition.

I'll admit that Army being good enough to score twice as many points as Rice does make me a tad nervous.

People really give college DC way too much credit. DC will spend very little time worrying about the idiotic formation of having 2 QB's on the field at the same time. It's just flat out stupid, what are they looking to get from it? A shovel pass to DMac so he can get popped by LBers? Or a double pass? It's like coaches trying to run vanilla offenses to not show the good teams anything and then they get 1 chance in a big game to make that pass. Maybe if they ran those plays 10 times in games leading up to the big ones they could actually execute it.

Clock management - It's crazy how some people are just not good at basic strategy, especially coaches who have been in that situation literally 25-100 times in a career. With 2 TO's, what's more important, a few extra seconds and another play or a few less seconds and 1 less TO?

First half offense looked good, we say screen passes, and slants, and plays in the middle of the field.

Second half offense was none of that, 6 passes in 2nd half. Unless all the WR's were hurt, no reason not to practice your new offense in game situation.

Defense will probably be a top 15-20 unit so we will see stretches in game and a couple bad total games. It is what it is on that side.

The coaches thinking the 2 QB formation was a good idea is a little scary, and awful clock management last night could be the difference between a win and a loss vs a good opponent.

SP has talent but I am not sure he is that smart of a QB, just my impression.

We know what this program is under Harbaugh now. We want it to be more, but it isn’t. It’s 9-10 wins. Good but not great. Lots of effort and a clean program. Not competitive with legitimately elite programs, recurring infuriating game and clock management, FPS galore.

He is Lloyd Carr with about an extra win a year.

So many people are quite down on a guy that inherited a tire fire of a program and has had regular seasons of 9, 10, 8, 10 wins despite having our best rival be a perennial top 5 program in that time, another rival make the playoffs during that time, a third team in the division win the B1G during that span, playing Wisconsin 3 out of the 4 years...

It's not like the playoffs have been a pipe dream for us every year and we're mired in mediocrity year after year.

Being Carr with an extra win a year is far from being down on JH. We thought we were getting a super elite HC but he is just a damn good HC. OSU has been a perennial top 5 program for 25 years. Carr had to deal with them too but Carr was blessed with the best run of QB we probably will ever see at UM. Harbaugh took over one of the worst QB runs and that looks to be over but he also had one of the best defenses he probably will ever have though too.

He’s a super elite coach relative to what Michigan has been as a program for almost all of its history. A couple weeks ago Bill C created historical S&P+ graphs for major programs; Harbaugh not only almost instantly rescued the program but has actually brought Michigan close to its historical peak under Bo, with all indicators pointing towards sustainable success. The downside is that OSU happened to be operating at its historical S&P+ peak during Harbaugh’s tenure.

(w/r/t Carr, the S&P graph was illuminating—Carr’s teams got progressively worse the further into his tenure you went. My UM fandom hot take is that Carr doesn’t get nearly enough heat for allowing the program to backslide to the point where it took a miracle worker to dig it out after a decade in the wilderness.)

Carrs last 5 years had 3 Rosebowl appearences and was ranked #2 going into OSU the year before he retired. Michigan was a dumpster fire because Hoke sucked, there was talent there though. The program only went so far down because RR and Hoke were 2 of the worst coaches Michigan has had, and they had them back to back.
