You can not have Mike McCray on Barkley 1 on 1. You could not guard #5 all night man on man. You chose to continue to do these things. His gameplan did not put his the players to have a chance to succeed

If Peters does not play >60% of the snaps next week then IDK

Right. I get AGGRESSIVE SCHEME and everything, but at some point when a team can find and exploit bad 1v1 matchups, you either have to change personnel or change scheme to make sure those don't happen.

Hamilton on Metellus or Kinnel was a free first down. Barkley on McCray is a free first down. Can't ****ing let that happen.

So I went on stage and it’s a one score game. Like 75? minute later. Raping

Watch next week. Do you think URB will have a 250 pound linebacker on Barkley all afternoon? Do you think he will put a mediocre safety on #5?

This isn't high level ****.

I get it man. But goddamn, we are in a transition year with a ****ty QB vs the 2nd best team in Penn State history, at home, at night. Sometimes their X's are way better than our O's, and coaches are ****ed no matter what they do.

Still no excuse for that play action on 4th and 11 tho.

You're still the best drummer I have ever seen live. Just remember that drummers have no talent tho.

Oh and they burned the Nico Collins redshirt on literally the last play of the game.

ilp,
You knew this year was always going to be rough with the dumpster fire Hoke left on offense but stillllllllll, you'd think Harbaugh would at least have a QB that could be semi competent. Still think the Newsome injury is the biggest thing that has set this team back the most

so many fun posts, trust me i hate losing to pedo state more than anyone in here. Listening to all my old hillbilly friends from State college talk about the team and JOEPA is horrid.

agree the newsome injury is a killer, can arguably say its bigger than speight.

Don got very stubborn and PSU game planned for it well and roasted us. Was interesting to see us get crapped on early, adjust, then get MAJORLY crapped on in the second half. Usually look far better in the second half.

Okorn to me, on first watch casually with family, seemed to do something well then completely do something bad. He has the ability to run to the side but never seemed to be able to do that and keep his head up-field for passing options. just tunnel visions, hes has plenty of chances at UofM, but its time to get Peters time, if you dont and he Xfers then welcome to RS FR McCaff and probably 5th speight.

Correct me if i am wrong, i know the obnoxious hold on Gary early in the game made me cringe, but I felt like the DLine, given that PSU Oline isnt all that great, got kind of outplayed tonight.

Need to re watch obvious but I will say, I stick up for Harbaugh alot but if Peters comes in and offense is still having tons of problems they will need to make a change in OC personnel.

If he isnt able to do that, then that is a very bad sign imo.

yay for longest post ever on 2p2!

It's depressing man. Since Henne graduated, we've basically had a half season of NFL QB play with Rudock. That's it for 10 ****ing years....after almost 20 years of having an NFL QB under center. And with Harbaugh coming in 2015, you'd think we'd at least have a competent backup by 2017. This is 1984 all over again man with Zutterbug or whatever the **** his name is at QB (too depressed to wiki it). I mean maybe I was being naive, asking for too much, but when The Quarterback Whisperer coaches your school you tend to raise expectations a tad. God it's staggering how bad Okorn is given how pretty his stats were at Houston. At one point there was actually more evidence that O'korn would be good than Rudock! Ugh.

I think the evil causal chain proves this right. Without the Newsome injury, we don't have the SP8 injury. As bad as SP8 looked, there was always hope he could figure things out. I mean, he was still a QB with real big game experience. Playing at Ohio State last year, and orchestrating that comeback in the Orange bowl vs FSU. SP8 ain't great but the gap between him and Okorn is still much larger than I ever thought. With Newsome and SP8 a 10 win sweat would've been on the table the whole season.

As depressing as things are on these fronts--as hard as it is to watch a QB whisperer run bad at QB--at least there's hope we'll field a legit contender very soon. The question is, are we talking 2018 or 2019. IDK anymore. I think in 2018 will make a legit run at the B1G title just like in 2016, but with SP8 at QB we will still have 0% national title equity.

Right. Just like the Indians "left" us. Let's not whitewash history bro. Greear was taken away by some weak character green person. And I went to bat for him. I pmed a mod (will not say who cuz I have a touch of class sometimes). I beseeched him to forgive Greear, but nothing happened and I gave up. But you wanna know something. It's not even about evil green people. It's more about EVERYONE in this thread and other Michigan sports threads. We all should've been bombing mods with PMs making the case to bring Greear back. That kinda solidarity might've had an impact. Who knows. Green people are still people (I hope). They have feelings too. They can be moved. But no. We did nothing.

Greear always kept it real like no other poster in the history of 2+2. He represented the best of us and the worst of us. He was the heart and soul of Michigan sports on this hallowed forum. He was truly--in every which way--one of us. And we just left our fallen comrade swinging in the wind. The rope was too strong for one of us to cut. But maybe, just maybe, all-in together, we could've got it done. Shame on us all forever.

As far as ikes, I would've tried to get him back too, but apparently he hung himself, and I don't know how to deal with that. And I was too demoralized after my weak Greear attempt to try.

But you know what Dudd, you're green. You have some power. Instead of sitting here making up history like all people in power do, do something for us man. Don't be a sellout. Be a ****ing hero. Bring them back man. I personally would love you forever for that. You would be my William Wallace. If you don't, I wont hold against you tho. The true villain in this story is us.

So what. You and I still have way more in common with a trump voter than any president or the planet destroying unelected dictatorship of money that controls our society and political system. And besides, being a hater, saying stuff like "idiot liberals", or "dumb racist trump people" or "right wingers are psychopaths", etc--all those cartoonish manichaean dichotomies--all that divide and conquer ****--plays right into the hands of the rich and powerful who are rapidly destroying the kind of decent existence that white guys like you and I take for granted. And the only chance we have to hit a two outer before it's too late is to come together and fight back, and sincerely trying to understand and sympathize with "unapologetic trump voter[s]" and others supposedly unlike us instead of vilifying them, is the first step in that process.

Greear was Bruce Willis. ikes was Mr. Glass. It's not a good movie without both.

Yep, Greear would be in here saying fire Harbaugh, ikes would do the thing where he had to respond to everything, and I'd sit back here enjoying the show. I miss it

If you are going to drop movie references, at least make it one that I don't have to look up to understand.
