Speight injury is really hurting us right now.

He didn't play well the first part of the season, but I think that was largely due to the issues that we seem to have partially fixed at least. Run game looked so much better in the last 2 games, and that's because of the switch at RT (Bushell-Beatty is at least a better run blocker than Ulizio, and both are turnstiles in the pass game) and the commitment to more of a power scheme and away from a zone scheme. In this type of MANBALL offense, Speight is much better at making simple reads off of Play-action and moving the chains on 3rd and short to medium.

I just have no faith that JOK can pick up a simple throw on a 3rd and 3 if he needs to. That play where he can't look off Crawford who's double covered and find a wide open Gentry is just so so bad. Like I get that there's a lot about playing QB that's difficult, but if you can't do that I'm not exactly what it is... you do here.

Here's the thing. Penn State's offensive line is very pedestrian. Hurst/Gary & co will blow it up just like the DL did last year, and then Barkley becomes an afterthought. Penn State also has no dynamic WRs to test our young secondary which is already playing way above expectations. Thank god the best WR in the B1G last year, Godwin, is in the NFL now.

All we need is Purdue O'korn to show up + no horrible turnovers and we GOT this. At the very worst this will be a 4Q game that will come down to a couple key plays.

Additionally, as much as I hate on Harbaugh's in game decision making, we still have a clear edge in the coaching department too. And I'll grant that Penn State at night is probably the toughest venue in sports, but so what. When McSorley's back is constantly on the ground like those 5 Penn State QBs in 2006, it wont matter.

Michigan 18 Penn State 10

Nordin gets carried off the field for going 6 for 6.

Struggling to imagine this going well tonight.

Separate random thought: Crawford is absolutely useless. I can't remember him making a single meaningful play all season.

Never has the “we gonna get raped” meme been more appropriate. Defense needs to score at least one TD; the offense may not.

The formula is simple. If Okorn gets over 100 yards passing and we keep Barkley under 200 yards rushing we win. And we will do that. That's just math people.

If you were a true fan you’d bet PSU money line.

I've bet against michigan 4x this year (spreads), haven't been able to pull the trigger for tonight mostly bc that's a lot of points for these two defenses, and who wants to bet ILP amounts to win cheeseburgers?

Technically I'm on Michigan +7.5 for around $1,500 but that's only cuz I took juiced PSU bets from my Penn State buddy and his brother. I'm just doing this for the Sklansky dollars tho, and when a good friend wants to burn money it's important for me to be there for them.
