I remember fondly just how close James Franklin was to unemployment in 2016.

Also: Weird timing on the Washington transfer. It just doesn't make sense that you work your ass off all summer, go through most of fall camp and then leave so you can either sit out a year or play in a lower division.

it makes a lot of sense if you don't like playing CB to begin with, and now you're realizing you won't get much playing time there either. why waste another season at that point

Michigan hasnt shown they can win tough road games yet and that was with a loaded veteran squad, we sh11t the bed vs iowa and they were average. Psu has talent and Wiscy is always solid our D should match up very well with wisc but last year vs iowa was the same thing.

I expect we split those 2.

Michigan was 1 first down away from winning in Iowa. Let's not freak out too much.

Don't think you are just allowed to post this and not give a explanation!

gl!

anyone gonna be at the home opener?

kicking around bringing 13 and 6-year old girls, neither of which watch sports. the 6-year old will likely latch into my leg for 6 hours, the 13-year old will be fine until either her iPhone battery wears out or she can't access the network in the stadium.

they both only want to go bc a) I wanna go, and b) I won't buy them shirts until they go to a game, and they view michigan shirts as an FU to all of their friends. *thumbsup*

Hello guys! I am a football fan from Switzerland touring around the US for three weeks. I would love to see a college game and saw that I could make it for the Cin @ Mich game. The experience there should be insane. Do you guys have any advice on the best way to get tickets? Should I buy them online or can I get better deals on site ? Thanks for the help!

I'd imagine you can scalp them on site for a pretty good deal for the Cincinnati game specifically.

Wanted to bet team wins over 9 at -105, moneygram was down and I could only buy $500 of BTC, I already took $1500 out but now I only got like $500 on 5dimes.....

Max bet was to win $250. LOL.

Put the rest on -5 tomorow.

Lets go!

depends on whether you want to save a few dollars (by scalping), or have the peace of mind of already having your tickets...

post again in a week or two to remind me, mgoblog is working on an app that should be released by then. basically it's uber for ticket scalping. you open it, and (on site, or tailgating or whatever) and everyone who is selling tickets (or buying I guess) pops up on a gps/map. the app handles the exchange of money too I think, you just pay through the app/paypal and they give you the tickets.

that might help you specifically so you don't have to worry about whatever you'd worry about coming from Switzerland.

We lost a billion players and our schedule is brutal. Since I've been watching only 2012 and 1988 had tougher slates. Michigan's not winning over 9 games. 8-4 is probably exactly where theyre heading. Either way, I don't care. It will be a fun 8-4 because you just can't expect much out of this year. This year is about enjoying the new faces and seeing the flashes of potential all over the field. It really is all about 2018. Sorry to be a downer.

I don't see any Harbaugh coached team losing 4 regular season games.

My expert hot takes:

Our RB situation will be in the best shape since Hart was on the team. Evans is the next Tony Boles, and if he's usurped that'll just mean we have someone better than Tony Boles on our roster.

We will not miss Butt at all.

We have the most talented WRs in the country and perhaps maybe in Michigan history when it's all said and done. The years where we had Desmond Howard/Derrick Alexander, and the years we had Edwards/Avant/Breaston are the only comparables. But of course, these current guys are still probably a year away from dominance. Either way, after going nearly a decade without significant skilled talent at this position, watching these guys will be a breath of fresh air.

Our OL will be better than last year. Not a big statement. A few losers that should've went to Michigan State finally graduated last year.

Thanks to the strength of our schedule, Speight will have enough bad moments to ensure he doesn't leave to the NFL.

The defensive back situation is going to be a nightmare, especially when we play Penn State. Barkley is gonna break some massive runs in that game.

We go 8-4 and lose to Ohio State in OT again.

We play an SEC team in the bowl game and destroy them.
