Went to the game on Saturday.

Two takeaways:

That was the most epic ass whooping I've ever seen in my life

Rutgers is not Big Ten Football. Tailgating was as bad as I've ever witnessed.

In what way was it it bad, need some details!

-The place where we tailgated basically looked like a bus depot that was another 3-mile shuttle bus ride from the stadium

-Where we got dropped off from the shuttle bus still required a .5 mile walk around what looked like an indoor driving range until we got to the stadium

-Nowhere was it apparent that we were anywhere near a college campus

-Student section was pretty full for the first half. The second half it had like 15 people in it (understandably)

-The bus depot area where we were tailgating had no view of anything except the single family suburbs near wherever we were

Not much to be disappointed about except for the fact that our kicker decided to suck this year. The biggest pleasant surprise for me has been SP8's ability to avoid sacks. He's shown some serious moxie in the pocket this year, more than I ever anticipated. He's obviously no Mike Vick but he's extended a lot of plays this year with his feet/shiftiness. This gives me more hope that we can pull off the upset vs Ohio State.

What's everybody doing with their free Saturday?

I'm going to a restaurant in Chicago with like 12 friends and getting a whole lamb cooked and chopped for us, then playing Whirlyball.

Gonna take $5,000 to Talk of the Town ($10 lap dances, fully nude), and not leave until it's gone. Then I'm gonna go home, google image homeless people, and beat off.

Pay a homeless couple $500 and watch them have sex, you could beat off too if you want.

Frontier over at like 1000 N. Milwaukee does whole animal services. I've gotten a pig and salmon before, both were awesome. Super excited to do the lamb tomorrow.

Sounds more like a food experience than just a meal, pretty awesome.

Random observation from Rutgers rewatch:

On the long Peppers run that kicked the offense into gear there is a #95 playing TE on the right side ... according to the player participation log that was Nolan Ulizio. Ulizio was in at left tackle for most of the second half wearing his usual #70.

From watching him, he appears to be pretty aware and does a nice job of directing defenders but he can be overpowered.

Michigan and Ohio St both guaranteed to be undefeated going into the final game.

Gonna be so mother ****ing sick.

Odds we make the playoffs with a loss?

Odds Ohio St make the playoffs with a loss?

Scenario for either Michigan and Ohio State to make the playoff with a loss is if their only blemish is a close (within 10 point) loss in the final game, while the other wins in the championship game. In that scenario, if at least two of Alabama/Clemson/Washington/Louisville end with 2 losses, there could be a spot for the loser. Something like:

1. 13-0 Michigan
2. 13-0 Clemson
3. 12-1 Alabama
4. 11-1 Ohio State
5. 11-2 Washington
6. 11-1 Houston
7. 10-2 Louisville

I don't think either Ohio State or Michigan gets in over a 1 loss Pac 12/ACC champion, and all things being equal I think Ohio State has a better shot getting in with a loss even though the game is @Ohio State.

Whatever the odds I just hope that ******ed NC State kicker doesn't cost us a spot should we lose The Game.

I'm going to buy tickets to the tOSU game. Assume neither team will lose before the game. When is the optimal time to buy? Right now decent seats are about $700 per ticket. I'm thinking they will get more expensive steadily until like 2 days before the game, then drop. Does anyone follow this stuff?

There's a weekly feature on MGoBlog that covers the ticket market, worth the read.

Also: I have just a little concern about how JBB will do against Illinois' DEs. Watching the Rutgers game he just wasn't real good. Seems like he plays way too upright. It shouldn't be a game-breaking issue, but they might have to put Asiasi or one of the FBs on his side more often.
