That ******* doesn't deserve my girl's sweet love.

Yeah we're ****ed but hey it's still only one game as the cliché goes. Win the turnover battle by 2 and we have ourselves a tight 4th Q and then who knows. I know this much, if we somehow beat Alabama and also win @ND, we should be instantly #1 in every poll with every first place vote too. We'll deserve that much.

remember that time the Lions were up +2 in the turnover battle and were still losing by 10.

I do.

Michigan +24 sounds about right. I might still take Bama.

IDK man. I just got done reading this article and now I'm more on NozeCandy's wave length. From the article:

Quote:
Alabama

Offense

5 Starters lost: 1 RB*, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 C

*Trent Richardson, RB

Darius Hanks, WR

Marquis Maze, WR

Brad Smelley, TE

William Vlachos, C

Quick Notes: Replacement TEs will be a true sophomore. Richardson is a top 5 pick and was a Heisman candidate, he’ll be tough to replace.

Defense

8 Starters lost: 1 NT, 3 LB*, 2 CB, 2 S*

Josh Chapman, NT

Jerrell Harris, LB

Courtney Upshaw, LB

*Dont’a Hightower, LB

*Dre Kirkpatrick, CB

DeQuan Menzie, CB

Mike Barron, S

*Robert Lester, S

Quick Notes: The talent Alabama will be losing is ridiculous. Everyone they’re losing will be playing in the NFL. At least half of them are ranked in the top 3 at their positions. Yeah, Alabama will replace that talent, but there is no way that the talent coming in is greater than the talent going out. 2 possible LB replacements will be JRs. The rest of the possible replacement LBs will be true sophomores.

Coaching

Offensive Coordinator is leaving.

Total

13 starters lost.
Michigan's got this!!!

Denard's footwork

I don't think he is going to improve enough to make it a non liability next season.

I'm not worried about Denard's footwork at all. As long as Denard continues to improve his decision making before the snap--when to audible and what to audible into--and in the passing game--when to run, when to throw, who to throw it to, when to throw it away, etc--I will be happy. I think Denard has progressed nicely this year, considering the mental burden he took on with having to learn a whole new offense. I see no reason why he's not gonna make significant strides in these areas next year.

Switching subjects: My modest hopes/goals for Michigan next year:

1) Beat MSU and Iowa (I'm tired of hearing about how they haven't beaten us this many in a row since 1834 or something).

2) Go 1-1 vs @Neb and @Ohio State.

3) Win the big ten championship (If we do the above we'll win the division most of the time imo, and then we'll crush some 8-4 Penn State/Wisky team in the championship game).

4) Win 10 games or more. If we do the above we'll have a good shot at finishing around 10-4 or 11-3.

Agree with what ILP said for the most part about Denard, he isn't going to ever really be a elite 500 yrd passing yrds a gm guy, thats a given, but he is a true playmaker and that's what you need out of a QB, I think he can improve and be a very good passer with some work.

And don't worry once Morris gets their will have the prototype Pro-style QB

I would also say, look at Denard's footwork in the Nebraska and Ohio State games. I mean I'm no expert but it looked pretty good to me. So when TheHip41 says, "I don't think he is going to improve enough to make it a non liability next season", I wonder if he has seen the improvements Denard has made this year in this category. Or perhaps I'm just conveniently remembering and selecting data that happens to back up my viewpoint: that Denard's footwork is improving and that it was pretty good in NEB/OSU games. Perhaps Denards footwork is not improving and is a real liability. The NEB/OSU games may just be anomalies and the chronology of the games gives the illusion of seasonal improvement. IDK, but I suspect that Denard's footwork is getting better and better and won't be an issue next year.

BUT EVEN IF we all accept that Denard's footwork IS a liability and will not "improve enough to make it a non liability next season", isn't this perhaps a classic example of letting the perfect be the enemy of the good. Isn't this kinda like knocking a super hot girl who gives unbelievable head cuz one of her boobs is slightly bigger than the other? I mean we're still talking about Denard mother****ing Robinson here. You know that guy that just quarterbacked an 11-2 BCS bowl winning team--that guy that played outstanding vs NEB and Ohio State (we NEVER beat Ohio State without Denard playing nearly flawlessly)--that guy that got a million yards vs ND in 2010 and was super clutch on the final Tebowesque winning drive--that guy that made all the right plays when it mattered vs ND in 2011 and Tebowed the **** out of them again--that guy that is capable of running for 80 yards any play and rushing for 200 yards any game--a guy that gives every defensive coordinator on the schedule nightmares at night--a guy that has a decent shot at ending up in the college football hall of fame when things are all said and done.

Edit: This year DR was the 2nd best QB in the big ten behind Wilson. Next year he will be the best. That's pretty cool no matter what his flaws are.

My biggest gripe about Denard is when **** breaks down, use your feet and run with the ball. Chucking the ball up is not the correct option although he got bailed out like every single time this year

Yea but what i tell most is Denard also got screwed over time to time, I remember Kroger and Dilieo dropping/knocking balls up in the air and being picked off. He was really good at what you were saying in the OSU and NEB game, if he can play like that in every game he would have to be in the heisman convo imo.

Mike Farrell said after the Army game that he hadn't seen a guy that big move that well since Haloti Ngata.
