And don't worry once Morris gets their will have the prototype Pro-style QB
I would also say, look at Denard's footwork in the Nebraska and Ohio State games. I mean I'm no expert but it looked pretty good to me. So when TheHip41 says, "I don't think he is going to improve enough to make it a non liability next season", I wonder if he has seen the improvements Denard has made this year in this category. Or perhaps I'm just conveniently remembering and selecting data that happens to back up my viewpoint: that Denard's footwork is improving and that it was pretty good in NEB/OSU games. Perhaps Denards footwork is not improving and is a real liability. The NEB/OSU games may just be anomalies and the chronology of the games gives the illusion of seasonal improvement. IDK, but I suspect that Denard's footwork is getting better and better and won't be an issue next year.
BUT EVEN IF we all accept that Denard's footwork IS a liability and will not "improve enough to make it a non liability next season", isn't this perhaps a classic example of letting the perfect be the enemy of the good. Isn't this kinda like knocking a super hot girl who gives unbelievable head cuz one of her boobs is slightly bigger than the other? I mean we're still talking about Denard mother****ing Robinson here. You know that guy that just quarterbacked an 11-2 BCS bowl winning team--that guy that played outstanding vs NEB and Ohio State (we NEVER beat Ohio State without Denard playing nearly flawlessly)--that guy that got a million yards vs ND in 2010 and was super clutch on the final Tebowesque winning drive--that guy that made all the right plays when it mattered vs ND in 2011 and Tebowed the **** out of them again--that guy that is capable of running for 80 yards any play and rushing for 200 yards any game--a guy that gives every defensive coordinator on the schedule nightmares at night--a guy that has a decent shot at ending up in the college football hall of fame when things are all said and done.
Edit: This year DR was the 2nd best QB in the big ten behind Wilson. Next year he will be the best. That's pretty cool no matter what his flaws are.
