Going to MSU still way better than going to Michigan (assuming "MSU girls are hotter and easier" is not just a myth)

Haha I'm more concerned with the level of education/quality of the degree and that's where UM dominates, just don't feel like spending all my time studying to get into UM.

My Michigan friends profess the truth of this. And if you're dedicated to what you're studying and sufficiently motivated you're going to do well whether you went to MSU or UM. The work you put in is far more important than anything else. But I won't deny a UM degree holds a higher prestige.

Yeah basically just never skip class and it's like impossible to get less than a B.

Translation: don't schedule classes at 9:00am, seriously.

Don't worry bout that crap. Just take care of business in the school department and then have as much fun as possible. It's seriously all down hill after college. After college there's about a 95% chance you're gonna hate your job(s), and about an 95% chance you'll either end up divorced or in a loveless marriage or with some girl that doesn't give head. So seriously, live it up as much as you can. This is the beginning of the 2nd quarter for you. It doesn't get better than right now.

Glad I'm not neurotic enough to not be happy for the rest of my life and not change anything.

You know when I wrote that post I almost included you in parentheses as the exception. Left the parenthetical out for aesthetic reasons. Now I regret it.

Just got back. In the stadium the replay overturn of the TD seemed absolutely awful. Confirm?

I was losing my **** and honestly felt like a heart attack was imminent.

There were two replays of the Fitz TD. The one they showed in the stadium (I assume) looked like he clearly broke the plane. The other one looked like he was clearly short. No way it was indisputable.. Mike Pereira said at the time that they shouldn't overturn it.

Riiiiight. Maybe I'm reading too much into what you're saying but are you suggesting that the reason why most people end up in jobs they don't like is because they're neurotic (i.e. they're not happy with their job but not willing to change anything)?

I about died seeing Miller throw the ball deep and Posey running wide open.

Yep. Contradictory evidence = play stands. So it was CLEARLY a bad call.

Yeah when I saw the ball go up with Posey that wide open I just sat down with my head in my hands. When I didn't hear the massive groan I knew Miller ****ed it up. Thank god.

And of course, spiking on 3rd and 6 was super dumb.

yeah that game seriously took years off my life. The end result is the only thing that makes up for that ****. Very frustrating afternoon. Ohio State scoring first + Ohio State taking lead before half + lolHangerup + that cluster **** that took our clinching streak ending TD away + Ohio State getting that first 4th down conversion on final drive = I'm totally spent and need like a week to recover.

No I'm saying that if you're truly not happy with your life and not changing anything you're just dumb.

Also, if you've made up your mind that you won't be truly happy for the rest of your life (which may not be you, but it's a reasonable implication of what you've said), you shouldn't be surprised when you aren't happy.

I don't think so tbqh. The view that was inconclusive wasn't parallel to the goal line. The view right on the line looked pretty definitive that he wasn't in.

Well personally I think life is complicated enough to make this banal Oprahish statement damn near meaningless.

IMO, this seems like a really excellent counterargument. Now I have no clue if that was a bad call.

It's hard to change jobs if you are unhappy with the one you're in not a lot of hiring, if you have kids and a morgage/rent it's even harder b/c you don't want to get stuck between jobs or go to a new job and then they get rid of your department or something like that. Just depends on how miserable you are.

Go to CMU. That way you don't have to be forced to root for MSU and there are better looking girls than both schools.

Yeah but all that means nothing cause Dr. Phil *cough* I mean Dr. Ikes says, "if you're truly not happy with your life and not changing anything you're just dumb".
