S&P+ has Michigan coming in at #9 next year. That’s good for second in the B1G behind whom else but OSU at #7.

FWIW, Wisconsin is #11, ND #12, PSU #14, MSU #23, Iowa #25.

Fields will be very good. We know he also isn’t Trevor Lawrence, though. Make no mistake, he transferred because he couldn’t beat Fromm. Contra to what my UGA friends tell me, Fromm is really damn good. But Fromm also won’t be on any All-American lists anytime soon.

Last I checked Fromm was projected to go #1 in the 2020 NFL draft. That was awhile ago tho. Looks like the latest update I can find (1/1/19) says he still "has a chance to be the No. 1 pick in 2020" but could also end up at QB3 behind Tua or Herbert.

Fields getting beat out by a QB of this stature--who already had a year of experience under his belt before he even arrived on campus--should give us ABSOLUTELY NO SOLACE. The fact that I even have to point this out speaks to the stratospheric level of delusion everyone in this thread seems to have reached.

Fields is a six star prospect, the only reason he left UGA is for the bigger stage and because Fromm has compromising photos of Kirby, probably ****ing goats or something.

Listen to ILP people, it’s over.

Not only is Fields the elite-st QB talent in the entire NCAA in 2019, he is also almost certainly the smartest. Consider this: Nobody can prove anything but let's just assume that he got a bag to sign with Georgia over Penn State and others. A BIG bag. And now you can assume he got a second bag for signing with Ohio State over his other suitors. I mean, sure, maybe it was just the fit and the prospect of destroying souls north of the state line, but c'mon son this is BIG BOY FOOTBAW. We ain't come to play school, we're about getting bags and bolting for the NFL as soon as possible.

Instead of hoping for wins we should hope that someone at tOSU does something stupid he can use for a petition for immediate eligibilty at Tennessee in 2020.

As much as we dislike it, PSU fans must be in absolute hell watching Fields go to OSU. It’s already going to suck ass that they now have to watch their former commit stick it to them at OSU. But thinking how instead of McSorely handing the reins to a redshirted Fields you’ve got, uh, Tommy Stevens running the show? I’d be despondent.

Booker Wolfbox: "Listen to ILP people, it’s over."

In response I call upon the honorable Bluto Blutarsky:

"What? Over? Did you say over? Nothing is over until we decide it is."

I think you mean until tOSU decides it is. Hence Bluto's scarlet attire.

Meh, I like Stevens and we brought in two 4⭐️ QBs in this class. Would I like to have Fields? For sure. Am I despondent? Nope

Yep. Stevens is the primary reason the Michigan-Penn State game will be a coin flip. Dude is a legit gladiator. 6'5", 240lbs, and is probably the 2nd fastest QB in the B1G to Fields. And he's a 5th year senior who knows the playbook inside and out. He's the perfect bridge guy to give one of the 4 star guys time to emerge. Michigan fans don't know about him yet but they will. The only question is can he pass? Not a lot of film on that, but he looked good on the spring practice film. Either way, if he can just be an average passer we're looking at a Tim Tebow clone here. QB is not a position Penn State has to worry about. I don't know about the rest of the roster given all the transfers, but it still seems like Michigan and Penn State are on a collision course. That game will decide who gets the New Year's 6 bowl.

I think you're misreading Penn State's QB situation but more than that you are dramatically misreading their fanbase. Since Franklin has been there (2014-today), Penn State is 3-12 vs their big rivals (MSU, Mich and tOSU). And here's the thing that's gonna blow your mind. Penn State fans are perfectly fine and happy with 3-12. They know their place in the Big Ten. They know they are the Iowa of the East. So Fields going to Ohio State doesn't hurt them at all. They never expected to beat Ohio State in the first place. There are lessons here that Michigan fans can learn.

Are you really in a position to comment on another team’s past performances or future ambitions to defeat OSU?

yall rushed the court bc you beat the #6 team in the country who played their worst game of the year and only had their coach for half of the game.

Just say yep. Our head coach knew kids were getting raped for years but he cared more about winning football games
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Pretty good deal if they only have to pay Pep his base salary through June, no benefits, no retention bonus, nothing else.

Thank you XFL.

It ain't a bold move when you have nothing to lose. Did you see the Michigan-Ohio State game or the Florida game. Harbaugh literally game plans assuming we're playing Penn State every week which works great when we actually play Penn State. Unfortunately not every team is willing to bend over when we run up the middle a million times a game.

You definitely aren’t drawing dead on Gattis being a competent to good play caller but there is no body of work to rely on to attempt to make an assessment. Should be interesting.

Someone posted a thread on mgoblog with early betting lines and it has Michigan -6.5 in the game.

It would appear that there is a massive market inefficiency, at least this betting site is unaware of how the immediate eligibility of Justin Fields makes tOSU unbeatable, and that FREE CURRENCY is available*. If I thought that betting on sports was a good idea I'd hammer tOSU +6.5 all day long and twice on Sunday.

(* they probably have a pretty low limit this far out but I don't care to look it up)

Spring presser highlights:

BEN MASON ON DEFENSE

-More No huddle, more tempo on offense
-Charbonnet can't do contact in spring, that sucks for him and probably means Turner is likely to be the lead back come game 1

My favorite part of Ben Mason on defense is not just as a linebacker but as a 3T. Undersized for a DL obv but let’s see him go to war.
