Look what happened to Penn State last year when they had to play Michigan, Ohio State, and MSU all in a row with no break. They were so ripe to get upset by MSU. They had to have been totally drained as a team. Horrible cluster scheduling literally cost them a playoff berth. This bye week saves us from that sick setup.
Plus we get more time to heal the best WR in the B1G and more time for Gary's shoulder to maybe get well enough for him to take the field. Could you imagine our two best players outside of the invaluable QB position possibly taking the field vs Penn State. This bye week gives us an outside chance of that.
Also, aint it nice getting to sit back stress-free and watch other teams avoid upsets this weekend, knowing that Michigan pretty much controls their own destiny for everything.
BTW, if it wasn't for that rigged game/sick punt fumble/block in 2015, this would be the 3rd year out of 4 that Harbaugh's team made it to November while controlling their own destiny for every possible accomplishment. And the one year they didn't, they were the youngest team in all of P5, with a huge injury at QB, and they still won 8 games. Michigan has been BACK every single year Harbaugh has been here, and yet so many people don't even realize it.
Anyways, this bye week gives us even more time to soak it all in. What a time to be
a Michigan Wolverine.
