I might start my own recruiting service and just slap random numbers on kids three years out. That's about as intellectually honest as some of the ratings that are out there -- it's just mind boggling that people freak out about 3 star ratings when in many cases the recruit has barely been evaluated by one or more of the services.

I don't believe these 3* are getting picked instead of 4* players, I just don't think there is a lot of interest right now from the 4* players at some of these positions. A great season should get the interest going again.

it depends. what does the coaches’ board look like at each spot? i’m not concerned at all if the 3-Stars you’re taking are either “dominant trait”/upside guys or are one of the top 3 guys in your board. if you’re taking a 3 Star because you didn’t hit on any of 5 guys higher on your board, then that’s another issue. can’t know which is which but I suspect at OL (and probably viper) it’s more of the former than the latter

it’s also 7 months from signing day. freaking out about what a kid is ranked this far out is just manufactured outrage. kids can get moved up, some can (and probably will) get processed

mgo is impossible to read anymore, not just because of the redesign. there are maybe 3-4 valuable posters and it’s increasingly difficult to wade through the trolls and idiots to find them

There's no need to worry bout recruiting. After we go 10-2 against the toughest schedule in college football history and crush whoever we play in a new year's six bowl, the big time recruits will come pouring back in.
