SP8 to UCLA. I can't imagine how he'll fit in 2. Chip's offense, but good luck to him.

i think it’s pretty clear that he let the negativity and idiocy from the fanbase get to him and ruin his enjoyment of the football team. just look at the differences in his reaction to the MSU game and after the bowl game. he just decided somewhere after the bowl game that he couldn’t enjoy football anymore, and if he couldn’t then neither could anyone else. for a guy whose gimmick is measured rationality he’s made more completely irrational statements about the football program in the last few months than any time post-Hoke (the 2018 class is worse than the late RR-era classes, saying Michigan won’t sign a single non-3 star skill position player in the 2019 class eight months before signing day, for example, basically anything he’s said about McElwain). he can be moody and emotional sometimes and he’s decided that until he can enjoy football again that nobody can. it’s really tiring and making it difficult to go to MGo anymore, which is really a shame given how often it was a refuge for rationality during the troubles of this past season

Holy crap - doesn't look like JH will be invited to the "seldom used backup LB" room anytime soon.

“i hope our third string linebacker doesn’t murder our head coach today” is a pretty good distillation of how this offseason of Michigan football has gone

Harbaugh and Michigan going after Karlaftis pretty hard here. Already committed to Purdue and theyve continued recruiting him, offered his little brother a schollie, and have reportedly now offered his girlfriend a track scholarship.

Sad!

Conversely, how are you going to celebrate if/when Shea is freed this weekend? Do we need to be on high alert for media reports of crazy in Las Vegas sports books?

Lol. Believe me I'm happy as hell. This is one of the greatest days in Michigan history. We now have a national championship team that can beat ANYBODY. Unfortunately there is still a sobering effect probably in the back of all of our minds. We're still not going to the playoffs. We'll probably go 10-2 becuz we literally play the toughest schedule in college football history. When at Notre Dame at night is one of your "easy" games, odds are you're ****ed. Either way, that is just the most likely outcome. The beautiful thing about today is all possibilities are on the table with THIS team--which has only been the case a few times in the last three decades.

Just put down $300 to win $250 on Michigan +1 cuz that's all 5Ds will let me do. I know I've lost all credibility on here long ago but goddamnit this seriously is the biggest lock I've seen since Indiana was starting that 5th string QB in 2014. Unreal how off this line is. Should be at least Michigan -7.5.

Thanks for betting and locking up the ND win Michigan Football: HARBAUGHMichigan Football: HARBAUGHMichigan Football: HARBAUGH

In seriousness, you guys have potential to be good, but you’re delusional if you don’t think you have a ton of question marks, including a new QB and a new offensive scheme by grab-bag committee with no real offensive identity (yet). Meanwhile almost all of ND’s defense returns, and while ND loses 2 x top ten OL picks, 4 of 5 on the line have significant playing experience. QB is set to take a leap forward as well. Not saying definitively you guys won’t win, but lol if you think you’re better than a coin flip at this point.

Might be the most ironic sequence of words I have seen since I've been on this hallowed site.

You're reaching bro. It's Harbaugh + real QB. You presumably have had a TV the last 10 years. You know what this formula means. It' not good for teams like ND.

It's not about you guys. You're still ND. This isn't 1993. Lou Holtz ain't walking through that door and no invisible gf is inspiring this team. There is a better than coin flip chance Michigan is playing its 3rd stringers in the 3rd quarter.

Back to the "ton of question marks":

We're gonna have one of the best defenses in the nation, our special teams will be solid again. Our RBs are more than solid, and we have one of the most talented WR corps in the nation that will be unleashed with an elite QB that can actually make plays. We have TEs cuz Harbaugh. The only real question mark Michigan has is the offensive line, but the talent is there with all the top 100 recruits. That said, how good the OL is, is not even a relevant question vs ND. The line legit might not be ready for prime time vs @MSU or @OSU, but the idea that our line will struggle against the likes of ND, Rutgers, Indiana, SMU, Nebraska, etc, is on the same unrealistically pessimistic level of "we might be in trouble if Aliens invade".
