Michigan State 15-11 (7-7)

Michigan 17-11 (7-8)

Michigan State currently in as an 11 seed.

Michigan not even in the first 4 out. Michigan not even in the next 4 out.

Seriously, how rigged is this ****?

Almost like MSU has played tougher competition.... win in AA and we have a case.

Michigan States toughest games OOC:

LOSS vs #14 UConn
LOSS vs #1 Duke
LOSS vs #20 Syracuse
LOSS vs #5 Texas

Michigans

LOSS vs #20 Syracuse
LOSS vs #3 Kansas

yeah they played a tougher OOC schedule....but they lost to every ****ing ranked team. that = key to getting in? just schedule everyone good and lose?

UCONN wasn't ranked when State lost to them IIRC

and syracuse was ranked like #10 when we lost to them. those are current rankings not when they played.

states best win OOC is vs an unranked Washington team. ours is in Clemson. extremely comparable imo. ours is prolly better.

LOL why are you looking at all of this **** instead of RPI? The fact that MSU has the same number of losses we do against better competition should make an obvious case for you. MSU also beat Wisconsin btw, so yeah, MSU's resume > Michigan's atm. Win in AA and you have a much better case.

if we beat them in AA there is no case...the case is closed. us > them

my whole point is i dont think that they should be 20-25 spots ahead of us in the "getting in" order.

wait...im dumb. they are actually anywhere from 40-50 teams ahead of us in the getting in order. un****ingrealllllllllllll.

lol wat? (I mean, unless you're suddenly being really really dumb and including all the automatic qualifiers, in which case you're only off by about 10, the cutoff for at large bids is roughly a 12 seed -- so 40-50 teams is completely LOL.)

16 #12 seeds.
anywhere from 0-15 #11 seeds
handful of 13 seeds....lets say 5
were not even in the first 8 out.

so that's anywhere from 29-44 right there. Now you have to add how much further we are out than those top 8. it's not rocket science bruh.

I have a Q regarding who gets into the tourny.

Lets say a team is the 4th from last at large team to be in the tourny. In the last game of the season their best player gets injured and will be done for the season. Does this drop them out of the tournament? I've heard multiple people talk about how it would indeed.

Seems kinda ****ed up to me.

Take care of business and we get in over Sparty. Gotta win 2 out of 3 and at least one in the BTT. Two would be better.

Ranked or not Washington is a big win for Sparty and they did beat Wisky.

Yeah, that team would probably fall out. Kenyon Martin is the classic example. Cincinnati was the #1 team in the country, Martin went down, and they were a #2 seed.

I vagely remember kenyon martin playing in college and obv don't remember how great he was....but if he was truely great why wouldn't they have fell to a 3-4 seed?

Also, lets say the opposite is true.

Hypothetical land here....

LeBron James goes to college at OSU. They start off 10-0 and ranked #1 and he's averaging 35/14/7 just by far the GOAT to ever play college hoops. He gets injured. They finish the season 16-14 and like 3-15 in big 10 play. He will however be back for the NCAA tourny.

Does this team miss the tourny as their body of work would put them as a bottom of the barrell NIT team, or is this a top seed team in the real NCAA tourny?

I mean, he was the best player in college basketball that year and ended up being the #1 pick. I'm sure the committee didn't want to penalize Cincy too much for a great season. In your hypothetical, a team was borderline anyways so the committee won't be so inclined to reward it.

in my hypothetical they were the #1 ranked team in the country before Brons injury and completely fell off the map after going 6-14 down the stretch.
