well...same as last year. when a good team wants a layup...they will simply proceed to get the ****ing layup...and there's not a ****ing thing we are ever gonna do about it. ever.

What I don't get is Manny Harris is more athletic than all of us, but he can't even dribble or shoot normally. I can shoot a jumper without having my legs kick out wildly, how hard can it be?

Anyway, judging by the last 2 years, I think Beilein installs the 1-3-1 primarily early in the year, and emphasizes m2m later on. So that will improve, believe me.

We need to do 2 things usually to win, shoot the 3 at least at a 35% clip or force TO's while taking care of the ball ourselves. Neither of those happened, we lost.

We have to be one the ******* most pathetic shooting teams in the country. 6-24 from the 3-point line today. 3-20 from 3-point line in the loss to Marquette yesterday. 8-26 in the OT win over a Creighton team which went 0-3 in this tourney. 17-70 from 3 overall in this tourney.

To be fair to Morris, it wasn't exactly a missed layup. He caught the ball near midcourt with about 4 seconds left and tried to take it all the way to the basket. By the time he got close there were 2 Alabama defenders there and he had to force an off balance shot over 2 much taller players that had very little chance of going in.

I kinda have a suspicion that once Zeigler (I hope!) replaces Manny at the 3, the offense will run a ton better because we'll have a smarter and more efficient shooter. Manny is good and all, but he stilllll hesitates on his decision-making and is an awful shooter. How can you be so athletic yet have the ugliest jumper?

really need this win tonight to get back on track. Sims was talking how they run an offense based on a lot of cutting away from the ball. You can't keep your eyes on the ball playing D or they will burn you on a cut. Hopefully they can play some good man to man tonight. Novack supposed to get some more looks and they need to shoot better obviously than the last two atrocious games.

What a disaster of a first half. 9-32 from the field, 4-17 from 3-point line, 2-5 from the FT line. Sims was benched for a long stretch at the end of the first half, but that was mostly due to his 2 fouls, I am guessing. Harris was benched for about the last 4 minutes of the half, and he only had one foul. This was definitely a "message" benching. I hope the message is "PLEASE DON'T EVER SHOOT ANOTHER 3 POINTER."

This is a big game. Having 3 losses by December 2nd, with non-conference games left against Kansas, Utah and UConn, is a recipe for disaster. It's likely we'll drop 2 out of 3 of the other tough non-conference games. That could put us in precarious shape come selection Sunday.

We better play our best half of the season coming up.

Manny's decision making is so ****ing bad. Novak wide open in the corner there. In the first half, he failed to make the kick out to Vogrich about five times. It's sad, he could be such a valuable tool in this offense.
