Terrence Shannon to Michigan picking up steam. Would be a huge get.

And apparently Adam Miller(former Illinois player who transferred to LSU and got hurt so missed this past year)to Michigan rumors are out there as well.

Both guys could be good fits, though I probably have more questions about Miller.

If they're going to take potentially take multiple guys, though, it makes me wonder who is leaving. I think with Johns departing they're full at the moment. If Dickinson and Diabate both leave they need at least 1 big, not a guard and a wing. Could always be a transfer out from a guy like Barnes who didn't play but I'd like to think he'd stick around at least for a 2nd year. Same for Tschetter.

Eric Bossi, top recruiting analyst in the country, said today he would bet on Michigan landing Emoni Bates.

Huh? First they don’t have a scholarship for him unless someone leaves and second admissions is notoriously difficult to get through unless you’re a grad transfer.

Get past those two hurdles and then Juwan has to decide how much drama he wants to deal with.

Shannon looks very promising but Bates would be a serious headasplosion

Yeah seems crazy to me too just telling you what he said.

Dickinson coming back is huge, of course, but if anything it makes getting Shannon even more of a priority. Need the athleticism on defense and a solid 3 point gunner to make the spacing work on offense.

Not enjoying the rumbling that Bufkin might be leaving. With a solid offseason of strength training he has so much potential to break out and there is a starting job there for the taking.

Assuming that the silence on Diabate and Houstan means they both entered their name, will get draft evals and make a decision about withdrawing before the deadline for that. Makes sense for them to do that anyway.

Roster construction is such a problem right now, I don't know how you guarantee yourself anything stable.

Collins hitting the portal is still a headscratcher. Llewellyn is a complementary piece, he'd be more Eli Brooks than a guaranteed starting PG. They needed a guard and some experience in the backcourt. It's not the end of the world, McDaniel can probably replace Collins reasonably well, but yeesh. I think everyone was expecting at least two years more minimum.

Diabate presumably gone, Houstan presumably back. Team is going to be bad on D again, but maybe can shoot a hair better.

Welp, both Diabate and Houstan staying in the draft.

We've got scholarships, time to go shopping.

Would have had to be a seriously under the table bag for Diabate, non-citizens can't get that sweet NIL cash.

Someone (probably OKC) gave Houstan a first round promise, it's not going to get any better than that for him if he stayed. Bag or no bag.

I'm fine with both leaving. Sure, it would be nice to have another year or two from them, but Juwan will adjust.

Thank goodness it's only November, this team is just not good right now.

Llewellyn out for the year.

Yeah, is problem.

Roster was already woefully short of guards. My working hypothesis is that they're going to have to change the offense and try running a lot more pick and roll a la Zavier/Teske with the other 3 guys making themselves available for 3s. I just don't know if Dug and Bufkin are able to do that effectively.

Defense is already a cluster, so I'm not sure how much worse it will get. Barnes is going to get more minutes as an athletic guy who can shoot, remains to be seen how well that translates to heavy usage.

This team is so hard to watch.

They have some talent but the level of basketball iq for guys who have been playing their entire lives is shockingly low. Effort is inconsistent at best. Little flow on offense, no clue on defense.

If the shooting continues at that level, yep. Time will tell tho.

Also have questions about the secondary ball handling, nobody other than Dug appears to have much of a handle. If he gets doubled constantly or has foul trouble that could be a sore spot.

Nice to open with a good win.

Another nice win against an overmatched opponent.

Dug and T Will have leveled up. Monster night for Cheddar. And Nkamhoua is everything that was promised and then some. He knows ball.

.500 in the B1G and a double digit seed are in play!

DUG and Tarris Reed are transferring at years end. I'm sure this isn't news and pretty obvious, but Trilly Donovan(if you don't know who he is look him up) confirmed in his discord they both have people shopping them around already.

Saw the halftime score of this dismantling at the hands of the Corn and turned it on out of morbid curiosity. Yeah, every bit as bad as the score.

The thing about this team isn't just that they're bad, they're not fun bad. Most bad teams in my experience have something fun about them, or at least something you can root for. High effort. A great shooter. Somebody with style or a guy who can play with zero help. I don't feel anything of the sort with this team. They're horrendous on defense, bad on offense, give wildly inconsistent effort, take stupid shots, you name it.
