Salvy a home run away from the cycle with probably another at bat coming in a blowout win over the Twins. Gogogo.

Meh, early in the season you have to let them work through it sometimes - like Volquez last night. You can't treat every game in May like it's the World Series.

Also we have 13 straight games w/o a day off - including White Sox and Indians. Can't just blow up the BP every day.

he was already at like 90 pitches and getting shelled by the twins and is generally a worse pitcher than volquez

i don't think throwing wang in there or whatever for a couple innings would be a big deal

edit- ugh bunt to lead off the innings from omar. cmon son

I wonder what the Royals record is in day games following night games over the last season or two. It seems not good.

.
Why not?? I think stringing 5 pop fly and ground ball through the hole singles together every inning is a great approach !

[I'll have cheese with my whine please]

... Although I don't wish Dillon Gee on my worst enemy

It's a pretty good approach against teams like the Mets that field like a beer league softball team.

Moose was at fault on that collision imo. What was he thinking going that far backwards, well that blows. i am also supposed to go the game for the double suck.

I was only sporadically listening to the game so was mostly wondering what was up with Yordano giving up all those runs. I shut the radio off in the eighth and saw the score was 7-1 with one out in the bottom of the ninth.

Just checked the phone, saw Salvy was hurt, and then saw the final score.

Damn, missed a good one.
