Fellas I thought this year was going to be different? A hit or two would be nice I want to follow this team. Ventura day anyway hope the Royals turn out to be worth watching more than once a week.

The bullpen was supposed to be a strength and they've blown a bunch of games already. The offense was supposed to be improved over last year and they suck so far. The defense was supposed to be great and but they seem to lack focus.
The only bright spot is the rotation. Vargas has filled in for Santana nicely and Ventura shows signs of being a future #1. This years starters look to be better than last years.
I'm not panicking yet, but if they dig themselves too big a hole like last year, it will be really hard to make the playoffs.
Winning tomorrow would be nice considering we cant beat the twins
If Duffy can pitch like that for his next few appearances I say give him a couple starts and see what happens. Big if bt whatever he was smokin.Chen will always be there lol.
would lead to 100+ HR and some decent power/OBP. I just don't understand the lack of power from this group. But just a 280/340/450 with 100 HR from the middle of the order would make this team really really good.
besides maybe playing valencia vs more lefties the starters are set in stone for a reason. chen on the other hand can gtfo and make room for duffy. don't see how we make the playoffs unless duffy hits his potential. status quo is unacceptable
haven't made the playoffs in my lifetime. not really that close this year
just amazing
****kkk honestly ventura looked so ****in good besides that goddamn 3 run homerun. admittedly vs the LOLPADRES but jesus christ what a heartbreaker. i hate this team so much

If the Royals were a stock, I'd probably be trying to fade the emotional sell off and buy some. But they're not a stock, they're just losers. That may not change until the owner and gm are clued in to modern baseball, which Glass and DM will probably never be. So, yeah, **** this.
I'm just having a hard time figuring out why the players are so bad. We were told at one time we had the best farm system in baseball. You would think that that talent would carry over to the big league team, but it hasn't. I wonder what kind of player Wil Myers would have been if we had held on to him. Probably just another average outfielder because for some reason, the Royals can't seem to get the most out of their players.
On paper, this should be a pretty good team, but everyone seems to be under-performing. On the days the offense scores some runs, the bullpen lets them down. When the pitchers do well, the batters don't do anything.
And it's really annoying to listen to Yost during all this. He just seems clueless and just makes excuses. I know he shouldn't have much impact on the team's performance, but they just seem to take on his personality and don't give a **** whether they win or lose.
