That's odd. Defense playing that well against the Colts should be a sure sign that this team is legit. @HOU, vJAC, vBUF, @OAK, @DEN, vARI, @SEA, vDEN, @SD, @STL, vTEN, vOAK. Not getting 10 wins would be a huge disappointment. San Diego can't get H2H tiebreaker, they are 0-2 in division vs 1-0 for KC. Yeah, I don't get it.

As long as you aren't a dick you'll be fine.

I mean, probably harassed some.. but shouldn't have beer thrown at you. If the Chefs are winning and you are being belligerent.. then, ya.. you can expect stuff to happen.

What sort of things are you worried about? People go to away games all the time and nothing ever happens to them.

You've clearly never been to a Raiders home game.

Re: Kansas City Chiefs - The New Erahead

If you want to Chiefs @ Raiders wearing red and acted obnoxious, you would 100% get beat up and maybe 50/50 get knifed in the parking lot.

Related Story: I met this Red Sox fan who had gone to a Red Sox / Dodgers interleague game earlier in the day and was acting like a total ass (by his own admission). He told me he was getting into it with some eses and one of them basically told him he was going to knife him. He didn't believe me when I told him the dude wasn't kidding, and he was damn lucky to get out of there in one piece. Seriously some people just have zero common sense.

Re: Kansas City Chiefs - The New Erahead

Flowers finally getting some love.

http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/insid...st%3djoyner_kc

I don't have Insider, but here's a quote from that article:

http://www.rotoworld.com/content/pla...rt=NFL&id=4733

Chiefs CB Brandon Flowers has allowed just 81 yards on 31 targets this season, good for a ridiculously low 2.6 yards per attempt figure. Meet the NFL's newest shutdown corner. To put Flowers' numbers in perspective, he's averaging a full yard less per attempt than Darrelle Revis allowed last season. Two writers from the stats-based website Profootballfocus.com have Flowers in the running for NFL MVP through five weeks. He'll travel to Houston Sunday to take on Andre Johnson and the Texans.

major lol @ chiefs fans puffing their chests out like they've done anything. your team has won as many games this season as they won in like the past four seasons combined, congrats. but they don't give a trophy for that.

I would be bitter if my team was on the downswong while our chief rivals were on the upswong.

you are right in that being a chief fan has sucked for awhile

If that's a Broncos fan I won't claim him!

But he accidentally kinda made a fair point.. as a Chiefs fan you'd be fine in Mile High right now.. the rivalry isn't like it was in the 90's. Of course he didn't really have a point and was just trying to be a dick.

Re: Kansas City Chiefs - The New Erahead

anyone else puke after that pass interference call was on the DEFENSE?

3rd and 2, why didnt we run the ball, we only had 200 yards on the ground at that point. The offensive play calling is just bizzare in some situations.

Re: Kansas City Chiefs - The New Erahead

didn't he catch the ball anyway? I mean obv it should have been offensive instead of defensive but imo it was a no call to begin with and I thought he made the catch in bounds. I was way more upset with weiss' 3rd and 2 call. The fake pitch is alright but I don't see the point in throwing it 30 yards after that? why not just have 3 guys running 5-10 yard routes?

whatever though, at least the chargers lost to the rams. The line is now chargers -165 chiefs +175.

flowers giving the business to the official was A+

Re: Kansas City Chiefs - The New Erahead

Some more Flowers love. Also an incredible stat on Tamba: http://www.profootballfocus.com/blog...ers-break-out/

Quote:
Flowers was already good, but he’s become the Revis of 2010. He has become a true shut-down corner to the extent where quarterbacks aren’t really looking his way. A really impressive thing he does is try to bait the quarterbacks. He’ll sit on the underneath routes just watching the quarterback, but will only do it when it doesn’t put his defense in a compromising position. In coverage, he has great change-of-direction speed and loose hips. He stays squared up with the receiver till he make a cut and Flowers’ agility allows him to instantly mimic it and stay on top of him. Most young corners will get caught looking into the backfield at the wrong times, but Flowers stays focused on his receiver and reads them in order to know when the ball is in the air. Not to mention he has developed into a pretty sure tackler on top of it.

You have to be an insider, but supposedly it has this to say about Tamba Hali:
Quote:
Hali has 28 QB Pressures thusfar and on top has hit/sacked the QB 12 more times. So he's had 40 plays where he's hit or pressured the QB. That's 9 more plays than Clay Matthews, 27 more than Jared Allen, 7 more than Mario Williams, and 3 more than James Harrison and Lamar Woodley combined.

Edit: Also, two more than Demarcus Ware and Anthony Spencer combined. Actually more than ANY 3-4 OLB DUO IN THE LEAGUE.

Also Charles = #1 rated running back and Waters and Lilja in top 6 guards. The whole thread about it is here:

What a difference two weeks makes for Bowe. I still fear Cassel is going to kill all our receivers with his innacuracy.

I like Haley's aggressiveness and gameplans. Charles could get more work but otherwise excellent. So much talent on this roster. I'm making sure to dvr every game.

Eric Berry seemed like the weak spot on defense. Isn't in the right place too often. Not awful but ways to go.

I agree Berry is getting beat and is out of position too much right now. Yeah but he has all the physical gifts and is a smart super high-character guy - much like Dorsey. I have almost zero fear he'll work at it and become really really good, especially with Crennel as his first coach in the NFL.

I like his aggressive approach as well, but I think there was value in kicking a fg when up 8 in the 4th q on 4th and 3 at the 24.

It's hard to disagree since Charles is so explosive, but the 2 headed approach is working very well. #1 rushing offense in the NFL. Using T Jones at a 5:4 ratio to Charles will hopefully keep Charles fresher for later in the season/possible playoff run.

Bowe has been playing very well. Obviously the td drop against the Colts was a huge play, but he's actually been solid this year. If you take out the SD game, which involved an extremely conservative game plan due to bad weather and a 2+ possession lead, Bowe is on pace for a 1000+ yd and double digit TD season.
