defense looked great second half and OT somehow

we would be so much better off with romeo sticking to the defensive coordinator and giving someone else head coaching and DECISION MAKING abilities. jfc he is so awful I'll be honest I was hoping that since Belichek failed in Cleveland maybe Romeo isn't so bad. He is worse than I imagined. Now I realize why the Chargers lose 2 extra games every year

also I kind of like Draughn seems like Hillis has been a dud and they will get rid of him at end of season..but what happened to that Texas AM guy we drafted, Cyrus Gray I don't even remember seeing him in preseason just that Eachus guy

my friend correctly called it last year making him interim hc was woat move. If he sucked to end the year, no way they bring him back as DC, and since he did good we are stuck with him as hc

I wonder who would be our coach right now if we didn't beat the packers

btw we had 27 1st downs to their 14, 92 plays to their 59, 510 yards to 288 and still almost lost..freakin bowe not catching that ball could have cost us the game. I will probably go this sunday to the game bc chiefs games are awesome until the 2nd quarter as long as we are "in the hunt" but yea we will probably regress. I don't know what to think of the Chargers at all or really the entire AFC West other than noone is winning a playoff game. Really though down 18 vs the saints on the road I never thought we would come back. I didn't think the Saints would collapse like they have this year.

Justin Houston destroying grown men's souls:

http://www.nola.com/saints/index.ssf...sive_t_11.html

Quote:
"I've never felt more individually responsible for the destruction of an offense before," Strief said. "I mean, I've just never been in a situation ... I mean, hats off to him (Houston). That's a game that you fear as a lineman. I had no answers. And I think I really gave us no chance to get anything going."

When asked if he was just talking about the sacks or other plays as well, Strief said, "I don't feel like I did a good job at any point in that game. ... I think I was physically and mentally beaten. And that's disappointing, because you just can't be in that situation. As a professional athlete, you can't be in the situation that I was in today."

When asked if he can attribute any of the team's struggles to the absence of Coach Sean Payton, Strief said, "I have a very hard time attributing what happened today to not having a head coach, because he can't block anybody. At the end of the day, I don't know what Coach Payton being here would have done to make me block somebody."
Love love love this kid. In the great part is once they start game planning for him, Tombs will start getting his from the other end.

Chiefsplanet.com has been all over Geno Smith all year. But it looks like he's going top 3 at least, and I just don't see us having the balls to trade up for him.

We might not have to trade up if we keep playing like this.

I hate Shannon Sharpe more than possibly any human being alive. But he was pretty awesome after the game:

"We try to dress this up and put a nice bow on it, but Matt Cassel is who we thought he is. He is not a very good quarterback. We need to stop sugarcoating it. Kansas City is not going to do anything, 'cuz Matt Cassel turns the ball over...he...okay. He can't play. I'm done."

- Shannon Sharpe speaking to the CBS NFL guys, all of which sat around saying absolutely nothing to disagree in one of the most awkward truth-induced silences ever.

**** you Matt Cassel for making me hate Shannon Sharpe slightly less.

it seems to me not many teams are in need of a qb right now. I guess cleveland would abandon weeden with the #1 pick

no way indy would draft qb. jax will finish with better record than us. st louis will but they prob wouldn't jump ship of bradford. oakland would draft qb over us but I think they will finish higher record too. tennessee would pick a qb as well, but they get indy x2 jax x2

would tampa abandon freeman?

cleveland is the only real threat between us and Geno what am I missing? we are for sure a lock for a top 2 qb I think but damn it I really don't want barkley

Raiders

Also our defense is too good. We'll win five or six games. Sigh.

you're probably right

whatever I got too excited for luck last year I should just accept my chiefs fan fate and expect the worst

KC Sports is at a major low point right now.

looks like the cassel era might actually be ending soon if all the reports about teammates and coaches losing confidence in him fast are to be believed. Crennel didn't dismiss possibility of Quinn (lol) getting more reps in practice this week

As bad as Cassel is, Quinn and Stanzi are even worse. It's not like either of those guys is going to make a difference.

Lose 'em all, draft a qb, hope for the best.

Or this.

This is why Pioli should go in my opinion. He purposely didn't bring in any real competition for Cassel because he didn't want to deal with a quarterback controversy. Any Chiefs fan could've told you the odds of castle being a serviceable quarterback this year were very low.

I admit there was some hope after he made a lot of improvement in 2010. But instead of improving again in 2011, he regressed big-time. He should've been out the door or at least given real competition at that point. And then when they booed them at the softball game, I knew he'd lose what little confidence he had left.
