Well, not any more.

How monumentally stupid can you be? First, to be in that situation in the first place. They cover this stuff at the rookie symposium and many other players have been busted for the same thing. And second, lying about it. There's always going to be a video, or a bunch of witnesses.

If he had been up front about it, he gets suspended for a game or two early in the year and it's over. As it is, he's done for the season and possibly the next (according to some talking heads on ESPN). He'll play again, but he's not getting the huge contract he could have commanded as one of the league's top running backs.

And seeing the picture of them pulling his jerseys off the shelves got me thinking about his fans. At Thanksgiving, my sister's niece's 4 kids all had Chief's t-shirts. Hill, Kelsey, Mahomes and Hunt. That's going to make for an interesting conversation after dad replaces 27 with 14 or 29.

The NFL needs to get this **** figured out going forward. I know there's not a huge epidemic of violence towards women in the league, but every instance brings a ton of attention. Personally, I'd be fine with just banning offenders for life. Sure, you'd miss out on some talented players, but I bet the instances of violence drop markedly after a couple of guys get kicked out.

Yeah I really can’t see how the chiefs don’t dominate the division for the next decade honestly. Reid has a massive coaching advantage over all the clowns in the division so even when we have to pay Mahomes I just see them being the divisional favorite for the foreseeable future. But Seattle fans prob thought the same thing recently so who knows. Packers haven’t been guaranteed anything with Rodgers at helm either

It’s a nice feeling. I think we get at least one super bowl in the next decade with dynasty potential. Premature of course but Mahomes is doing that to me. I can’t see him failing I just don’t see that scenario other than horrific injury. Kelce has years left and hill is still very young. The offensive line is basically locked up contract wise I believe . The defense can’t get much worse and they can shed the horrible big contracts they have right now

Looking to next year, we know the defense needs to be upgraded. I doubt they fire Sutton, although he needs to go. Clark trusts Andy, and Andy is probably going to be loyal to his guy. I'm sure they'll just say they need to upgrade the personnel on that side of the ball, which they do.

The other issue that I think we need to address is the offensive line. Everyone talks about Belichick and Brady, but their offensive line won that game for them. Brady was barely pressured and had day to pass. They also opened big holes for the running backs. The 8 minute opening drive set the tone for the whole game. They were going to score, and take as much or as little time as they wanted.

We need a line that can pave the way for a time killing drive to end the game. Scoring quickly is great, but we see what happens when you leave too much time on the clock. Even with an improved defense, it's hard to stop a really good offense in crunch time. And we got killed on time of possession. Even a decent defense gets worn out when they spend 2/3 of the game on the field.

But we've got Mahomes and the future is bright. The offense will be grat again next year, and with a (hopefully) improved defense, we should be favorites to make the Super Bowl.
