its hard for me to feel confident with sanchez as the starter. just dont know what to expect. i think the pats secondary is a little better this year too, though the run defense is prob significantly worse

The Jets shut down the high powered Texans offense without Ellis. Ryan will be sending lots of 5 & 6 man rushes, so Revis will cover Welker. Hopefully Sheppard + Rhodes can limit Moss to 100 YDs or so. The home crowd will be riled up, so hopefully some well timed false start penalties will help us win the field position battle.

The Pats defense is weak. Losing Mayonnaise is huge. I suspect Belicheat will adjust by showing more 4-3 fronts than usual. As usual, the key matchup when the Jets have the ball will be Mangold vs. Wilfat. We're gonna run the ball 35+ times, so Mangold will need to open up the middle so Faneca/Moore/Richardson can get into the second level. Sanchez will counted on to come up big on 3rd downs again.
