Congrats Jets fans. I was at the game Sunday and your D looked great. On the other hand Shaub looked terrible, as well as the whole offense. Our fans had every right to boo our play calling. The Jets blitzed almost every down and we hardly took any shots down field. Shaub was throwing behind the WRs all game and that was partly due to your D, but also he just didn't seem to have any confidence. Our fans are already asking for Grossman to get a chance if Shuab doesn't play better next week. And Sanchez did look really good and had great composure when we did get pressure on him. Anyway Good Job and Good luck the rest of the season

I'd like to see Brad smith used in the wildcat (or whatever we're calling it). He was a QB in college, and is very fast. Spilt Cotchery to the left, Stuckey and Sanchez off to the right, and direct snap it to Smith with Leon at his side. Not only can we run it off this formation, but Smith could throw some short passes to our receivers and screens to Leon.

Also, did everyone notice the uneven o-lines we were using, especially early in the game? Mangold was still in the middle, but D'Brick or Faneca was moved to the right side of the line with a TE taking his place. We'd run towards that side or run screens with Leon to that side.

He wouldn't be this time around though (though with the Pats you never know for sure ).

Some news that came out today affecting that Jets this weekend:

New England LB OJ Mayo has a torn MCL, most likely to miss this weekend's game and more.

The Eagles cut wide receiver Hank Baskett.

The Mayo loss should help Sanchez et al this weekend seeing as he is a beast. Seems like every week the Pats D is getting softer (Seymour, Mayo). As for Baskett, I guess the powers that be are feeling pretty good since our wide outs played well versus the Texans. Still, it'd be nice to add another weapon alongside Keller and Cotchery.

mayo out is huge. i now go in expecting to win. then again, i expected the same week 2 last year against the pats. regardless this injury def helps, having ellis back will be nice too

from what ive read they arent interested in baskett. i think stuckey has pretty much earned the #2 job

Yeah, the Patriots sans Seymour and Mayo and the Jets adding Ellis on top of what our D looked like last week has me very excited for Sunday.

Our beast of a LB David Harris was named DPOW...11 tackles and a sack.

Congrats to him

My next Jersey is David Harris. Been rocking the Nick Mangold for long enough.

I heard this on WFAN today. Mike Francessa played it. I really like him so much better than Mangini. This team has a good vibe.

If anyone wants to go Sunday, seats are still available.

Gonna try to round up some friends to go to this game. Whats the best way to get tickets? Jets site/Stubhub, or wait until the last minute and hope someone gives up tickets for cheap on craigslist or something?

I've wanted a Harris jersey for a while, and I want a new jersey before the game Sunday. Modells, Dicks, and Sports Authority online all do NOT have his jersey.

I'm going home saturday, and going to the stores to look for them. If not, I'm probably buying a Revis, or Scott jersey

But I want a Harris jersey.

I got a knockoff Revis road jersey for cheap. Pretty happy about it, but I'm thinking about complimenting it with a home jersey. Maybe Sanchez?

Kerry Rhodes says the whole team wants to 'embarrass' the Patriots on Sunday.

Kris Jenkins says they are preparing for this game like it was the Superbowl.

This team wants to win this Sunday, it can't come soon enough!

this is the question Ive been asking myself...

and not because I dont think they arent really good, because they clearly are...its just a matter of them having one heluva schedule. Week 1 they face off against an up and coming Offense in Houston...then Week 2 the Pats and Week 4 The Saints!

I have the Jets as my Fantasy DEF this year but have picked up a second DEF in Washington. I know The Skins arent a mammoth on D, but they have such a favorable schedule its hard not to play them over the Jets for the first 5 weeks or so.

Maybe the Jets need to monitor Jenkins' a little more closely this year. The Jets Stream and other places report:

Quote:
NT Kris Jenkins does have an injury issue -- a lower-back tweak. He was limited in practice, although Ryan insisted it's not a major deal. Jenkins vowed to play on Sunday. But, considering his history of back problems, this bears watching.
I just want to see some more of this:
