LOL...so true.

They know what happened to him, Revis shut him down because he has become one of the best corners in the league.

What a game.

I realize you cannot too tell much from one game, however the Jets completely dominated today. The Mike DeVito int really turned the game around imho.

I love this team so much under Rex Ryan. Its seems that he has let Shottenheimer finally run his offense. I loved the offense calls today. The Jets showed many different sets and formations.

The defense looks outstanding. Every single play the quarterback had someone blitzing him. He blitzed on the second play of the game and did not stop.

Mark Sanchez really appears to have the makings of not just a great quarterback, but a special player. He created plays and game up huge on third down. Even after the int and the penalty for the illegal block, he scored on the very next drive.

Interesting stat, since 199, every new coach for the Jets has had a winning record his first year coaching.

Excuse my giddiness gents, I just feel so much better that Favre and Mangini have gone different ways. I had a hard time rooting for some of the players on this team last season.

Bring on New England baby, I aint here to kiss Belechiks ring !!!

I didn't even notice Ghoulston during the game. This probably means he didn't do good, right?

Not really, he had three tackles and was tied for second with two other players.

David Harris led the team with six. Jim Leonhard and Kerry Rhodes also had three.

Ghoulston played ok, he did not make any mistakes.

Good job by you pointing this out.
He led the team today in tackles with 6 had 5 assists and one sack. He seemed to find the ball the entire day.

Another thing I want to point out.

I think Ryan found lightning in a bottle with the undrafted rookie Jamal Westerman. Had his first career sack today, and looked good. Would obviously be a project, and slow to mold, but I could see him being a great backup/ special teams player, maybe even a starter one day?

How big is he? Could he replace Ellis/Douglas in a year or two?

God, I just can't wait to see this defense when Pace and Ellis are back though

You should be excited as should the Jets but a gatorade shower after game 1? Kind of jumping the gun don't you think?

Nah. First win as a head coach, ever, deserves a Gatorade bath.

It wasn't for his first win. They just found out Rex lost 10 pounds, and decided to celebrate.

Revis is a sick animal of a player.

wow. just a complete thrashing. ryans first game couldnt have been better

1. Sanchez - calm yourselves a little, he wasnt as amazing as you think. the texans defense is not very good, and they were stacking the line to take away the run, leaving alot of 1v1 coverage. that said, his pocket presence was absolutely spectacular, without a doubt the most impressive part of his debut. he made a couple bad throws, but made a couple perfect ones as well.

dont expect the rest of the season to go so well, but i am really liking our future

2. Gholston - this was essentially his debut as well. did he do anything amazing? no, but i liked what i saw. held up well when the texans ran at him. the play where slaton fumbled to devito was probably his best play, he drove the LT straight into schaub and forced him to dump it off quickly to slaton, i was pretty pissed that it resulted in a big gain, till he fumbled of course. stop looking for sacks from him, they will come. instead watch for his development, it will take time

theres, like, nothing else to say. went on the road, and completely owned a top 10 offense, in every single way.

obv i agree, but you referring to anything specific? to be honest, i barely saw any of our entire secondary the whole game, they just didnt have to do much.

Nah, I just think not noticing them when Andre Johnson is on the field and the opposition is being forced to throw a lot is a sure sign that they're owning souls.

Gholston played fine. He got pressure on Schaub on the Slaton-quick-toss-eventual-fumble-to-DeVito play.

This is teh precursor to a 1-15 season.

Anyway,

Why did our most explosive offensive player get to touch the ball a lot this game? That makes too much sense.

Sanchez looked good, happy to see him do well. Lets not appoint him as our savior, was not too long again one Chad Pennington was given the same title.

D looked good, liked what I saw from Revis. Him and Rhodes make a great secondary.

It's been too long since we've had a Jets game where no one complained about the playcalling.

God I love this team. Harris is punishing and Leon finally has the role he should have. Him in the wildcat is sweet.

I absolutely <3 this Jets team. I don't want to get too carried away about Sanchez, but I will admit that I am extremely excited and optimistic about his future with the team.

I think our defense is going to be sick nasty, we will find out if they are the real deal in the next 2 weeks going against offenses that can easily put up 35+ points.

With Harris, Scott and Pace we probably have the best group of linebackers in the NFL. It will not take long to notice, but when people learn who Revis is - he is going to be the next Champ Bailey.

As for the offense, the running game was kind of stifled yesterday outside of some two late big gainers that Jones broke off. What I like about Sanchez - he is more mobile then I expected, he has good pocket presence and can feel the pressure around him.

That being said, he did make some knucklehead throws, I remember at least 3 occasions where he floated balls into the air towards the middle of the field that really should have been picks.

Anyone else going to the game this weekend? Home opener baby!

Excited, told my brother

"David Harris is the new Mo Lewis. In terms of knocking out the Patriots quarterback with a devastating hit."

Can't wait!

I think Patriot fans would cry floods of tears if this was to happen. Hence I sincerely hope against hope that it does come to pass!
