Maybe we can trade V Gholston and Sanchize straight up for Jamarcus Russell and DHB.

At least the Jets played meaningful games until Thanksgiving.

This team sucks in so many areas, where do we start.

Sanchez press conference on SNY right now.

lol. lol at me. however i believe i was still kinda right

it was 21-0 so fast. i think ryan really underestimated welker and thought our secondary would be fine. the guy is just so god dam quick, and he cannot be covered on short routes, there is just no defender in the league who can man up and completely take him away. you have to jam him at the line which they didnt do at all till the 2nd half, and he still had a few catches

smigchez wet the bed. blah blah rookie mistakes. usually when you turn it over 5 times, there was probably some bad lucky involved. not today. all 4 interceptions were terrible. the first were directly at bodden, he barely had to adjust on any of them for what has to be the easiest 3 interception day of all time. the last one i mean seriously come on, he had so long to throw it away, and they were still in the game at that point. yet again he came out and stunk the first half, then showed improvement in the 2nd half. he was actually handling the pressure well, getting rid of it quickly (exception being his final play) but the accuracy was just not there today

that said, i think the defense played really well. the pats definitely wanted to make a statement in the moss/revis showdown (throwing a deep ball to him with 26 seconds left up 17 lol) and id say revis came out looking good once again, allowing 5 catches for 34 yards and the 1 td and multiple passes defended. after the last smigchez int, on the pats last td drive, he read the play perfectly and would have had an interception to keep them in the game, but moss made the very smart play of purposely interfering.

overall, for playing the patriots in foxboro with brady looking back to form, to be still breathing (barely) in the 4th quarter is all you coulda asked for in this game

the good news is that it will be tough to fire ryan for another couple years even though he is a terrible coach.

I seriously stopped watching and listened to the game in the background after it became 21-0.

tbh we were never really "in the game" at any point (even when we were down only 10 in the 3rd quarter) did any of you think the Jets really had a chance to win? I felt that 10 point lead might as well have been 40 points there was no way in my mind that they had any chance of coming back. And now Sanchez has finally gotten to the point where I gasp a deep breath every single time he drops back into the pocket, I absolutely expect the worst.

i know that feeling youre talking about, i always had it with testaverde, then favre. never with pennington though, thats one of the reasons i liked him so much

down 10 and possession of the ball is "in the game" imo

too early to talk about the draft?

maybe mount cody? or maybe our pick is gonna be too high to reach for him since i hear hes a late 1st rder

its hard to really say theres a gaping hole at any spot on the team (maybe fanecas pass protection) and ya ive been saying OL or DL would be nice, but at this point i think BPA is whats gonna happen

cue pokerchief trashing any number of our positions

and man was that sheppard trade a waste of a 4th rounder. its hard to say whether eagles fans were right about him, if hes just been hurt, or if theyve just been doing their best to make sure it doesnt turn into a 2nd round pick

Looks like Jenkins can't manage a full season at this point.

The Offensive line is a good group with an average age under 29, we have a Franchise QB, great TE, good combo at RB in Green and Washington, workable rotation at WR, good linebacking core, a shutdown corner, decent safeties.

The big area of need for me is the defensive line, and not just in terms of an NT. As has been pointed out before, if you just drafted BPA with every draft pick over and over it would work out nicely for you long - term. If we're talking need though, we're talking our defensive front.

hell, theres a decent chance the BPA IS a defensive lineman.

I want Mount Cody. If that means trading back, stockpiling picks, and taking him, so be it. If it means a little reach, so what. He can spell Jenks/be the replacement for Jenks. We would have a very big front, which would be great.

After that, I think RT would be the next best place to go.

Then BPA throughout the rest of the draft

Will our Front Office do that though?

aside from the line this team really needs a good CB to play opposite Revis

sheppard is on a one year deal, correct?

hopefully we go NT and CB in the first 2 (i know, BPA blah blah)

i really dont mind starting mike devito next year

what i want to know is if we are actually going to keep faneca for all 4 years, or if it ends up only being 3 and we release him after next year. hes still solid in the run game but hes a huge liability in pass protection

i like the idea of moving woody to LG and drafting a RT in the 2nd round. DT is still my 1st round preference

lowery has been getting almost all the playing time in sheppards absence, and while he hasnt been anything amazing id say hes been pretty solid for a 2nd year player. i like him as our 2nd cb going forward

As a longtime fan of the Jets first, it’s not really with much pride that I’m helping to break this story, but I still think it needs to be done. Ugh, today really sucks.

For sports fans, one of the greatest strengths of Twitter is the ability to remove barriers between fans and players.

For sports fans, one of it’s greatest failings of Twitter is the ability to remove barriers between fans and players.

According to a Jets fan, today David Clowney sent a direct message to him Monday morning telling him to “kill yourself dude.”

Note: We’ve asked the team for a response, and have been told that it will be addressed, but no comment yet. We will provide it in this space once we get it, but will be on a plane later tonight so please bear with TJB.

It began early this morning, when Clowney tweeted out that “Even [through our] tough times there are SOME Jet fans that still support us and show us Love. Thank you.” It was a backhanded compliment, to which AlexL__ a New Jersey based Jets fan on Twitter frustrated with Clowney’s statement and the way the team was playing, replied on Twitter to Clowney.

After the way Kerry Rhodes played yesterday, and how abysmal he has been all season long - they really need to look at safety somewhere in this draft. He has been extremely hard to watch this year. I do not think I've seen a defensive player fall faster then he has, he's gone from a pro-bowler 2 years ago to he should not even be allowed into the state of Florida that week to even watch the game.

If we're going to talk draft, the Jets will probably pick in the 9-14 range. They desperately need defensive end, dtackle, and safety help but that position in the draft no one really fits that isn't a 10 pick reach.

I've seen some sources assess Cody as high as 16, but that may be a minor reach as he is probably a late round player. If they decided to stay in the 9-14 spot and do not trade (which is a really big if because Mr. T loves making moves on draft day) the CB from Michigan makes the most sense imo.
