Its one day until preseason and I'm just not pumped...am I the only Jet fan here that feels this way? I just cant get myself to be optimistic about this upcoming season.

We got holes at TE, WR and are probably starting a rookie QB. On top of that we got a Head Coach who hasn't coached a game yet and talks **** like there's no tomorrow. I really wish he would shut the **** up. I'm tired of building for the future, I want to win now. Except as a Jet fan now is always a year away.

Sorry for the bummer post guys, hope I can shake this crappy feeling before preseason is over, Sanchez lights it up, Keller learns how to block and our WR's step up big.

Lol, this would be amazing. How does the NFL treat ties anyhow? Can you go 0-0-16 and make the playoffs? Probably deserves another thread. I have no idea.

No way, the **** talking from Ryan is awesome. He's a pretty funny guy, and it's nice to have someone with some swagger.

I'm pumped about the upcoming season, but not about preseason. Faneca and Mangold are probably not gonna play at all. Therefore, Sanchez and Clemens won't play much either since they'll probably get pummeled out there.

0-0-16 is treated as 8-8. A tie is counted as half a win and half a loss.

I'm most excited about seeing Shonn Greene in action. Would like to see how many carries he gets and how he handles it.

I won't know if I can until it gets closer as I'm coaching at a high school now, so depending on the schedule and the time I'll know. FWIW I really am trying to go over and see a practice. I know its only a couple days away so I should know more in the next few days.

With that said, Jets are looking to trade for a WR, some names on the board? Marshall and Bowe.

rex has removed his deadline on the qb decision, as sanchez has taken a step back this week while clemens has been consistently better

those marshall and bowe rumors are out there, and now TJ as well, though i just dont see any teams willing to trade for him. again i think we are fine to stand pat, bringing in a receiver at this point in camp would probably not pay huge dividends this season

The Jets can also sign an unrestricted free agent wide receiver. Not sure who if Marvin Harrison would fit.

i am so excited for this season. i really felt like we were going to be terrible this year, but the Jets had a really productive offseason imo and are actually going to be decent.

marshall would be great if we could trade for him. i dont think marvin harrison is really on the radar for the jets. i thought i heard at one point that there were not any FA's that the jets were looking into.

Meh, my teams this side of the Atlantic suck mate, so I think I could win a "who's collective sports teams suck the most" bet.

are you kidding. ive been there for all the heart break
-getting owned by the spurs in the only championship any of my teams have reached during my fanhood
-when van gundy retired
-when they traded camby and others for mcdyess who instantly went down in the preseason and never amounted to anything while camby continued to get better and of course we struggled with absolutely no inside presence whatsoever (kurt thomas was C lol)
-when allan houston could no longer overcome the knee this was where i stopped watching the team
-and good thing because thats when isiah truly took over

I can't even put into words how lucky you are that you missed the '94 run. I can still hear my heart breaking from when Olajuwon blocked Starks' shot in game 6. He was on fire that whole game, so everyone and their mothers knew that shot would have gone in if Starks had stepped back another few inches.

When did this thread turn into a miserable New York sports fan support group?

I watched Michael Jordan torch the Knicks to get to the finals for many years.
I watched the Knicks gag in 94.
I watched the 2000 team with Coach Gundy draped across Alonzo Mourning's leg.

I gave up on them once Isiah took over.
It will take me a very long time to return to the Knicks.

On a positive note tonight, Im looking forward to this game.

It used to be that the starters got most of the first half reps in the the third preseason game.

Lets hope Sanchez looks sharp.

THIS!!!

I was too apathetic to respond to anything about the Knicks but this sums it up nicely.
