that one sucked but if we had to lose one here down the stretch that would be the one. AFC game. Oh well we still have the inside track, shouldn't lose next week, and then to ARI. where they will be playing for nothing, (maybe)

Anyway I will be at the game next week.

All that has to happen is either the Giants lose tonight or next week or the Cowboys lose next week and the Packers clinch with a win vs. Seattle. That would make the Arizona game irrelevant except for the 5th or 6th seeding. The Packers might very well end up playing Arizona week 17 in a meaningless game and then playing them the next week in the 1st round.

Ahh, yes interesting scenario, then how does the ARI game playout, both teams being vanilla for next week, but injuries, if any could be key.

The Packers have to find a way to win these last two games. They cannot depend on the Giants or Cowboys losing. Aaron Rodgers' career will be judged upon how he plays in these next two games, and more importantly, whether or not the Packers make the playoffs. Favre would win these games if he were still here.

Rodgers is not the problem.

I am going to the game and it has been snowing all day today. I hope they have the shovelers' working all night. If they don't win tomorrow they are not a playoff team anyway.

Although Dal. and NYG should both win tomorrow, they both have tough games in week 17 and GB should know what they both did by shortly after KO. I expect Ari, to be like week 2 in Preseason, if one of Dal. NYG lose. They obv will prepare to win all week and if neither team loses they will bring the pain.

Can I actually hope Carlson gets a TD or 2 against us and that Driver doesn't do dick.

Did you see Rodgers cement his career legacy by playing well in the second to last game of his second season as a starter?

Good bounce back game. I almost pulled a trigger in one of my 2 fantasy leagues with Brandon Jackson, had some gut feeling as I lost D. Williams and needed a replacement.

Anyway, was fun to be there but I remember why I don't care to go anymore. Just too many ignorant people yelling out stupid things. Ex. Comparing Favre's first 2 season's to Rodgers' in Yds therefore Rodgers is better, Crosby missed last week in Pit. therefore he sucks and single handedly lost that game for us because we lost by less than that FG. Probably a few more I know I was frustrated. I went with my brother, nephew, and step father, and on the way there my mother dropped us off as we parked my car up close early this morning, she was saying how she quit going because of the ignorant people. Although, her point was that beer getting spilled and whatnot.

I have some good pics as well as some video, will post those later.

Funny thing though, I used to live at the stadium as a kid (was up there all the time) and it just seems different now. I used to be able to go up there with $20 and get a ticket for $5 this late in the season. (this was pre Favre) I would find people who were tailgating and didn't go in and hang out with them until the 2nd half when you could just walk in. I would go find a seat and enjoy. Mind you I was middle school handling this sort of business. Not bad for a young-in.

I have some good memories up there. The replay game against the Bears, Jeff Query making a nice catch against the Saints, of course the Majkowski injury leading to Favre. I actually was on the field for that one. Sitting in the north end zone opposite field of where Kitrick Taylor caught the game winner.

Hell of a bounce back game, honestly not surprising the Pack destroyed a team at home that more or less packed it in already, but still looked nice regardless. I'm not so sure how they'll do in the playoffs but if they heat up (particularly the defense) right now I can't think of a team that can beat them.

I've been trying to figure out if there is any way that my beginning of the year dream/nightmare GB v. MIN playoff scenario can go down in the wild card round. Here it is....

MIN loses out to go 11-5
AZ beats GB and is 11-5
Philly beats Dallas to go 12-4

That would mean:

1. Saints
2. Philly (12-4)
3. AZ (11-5) head to head tiebreak
4. MIN (11-5)
5. GB (10-6) head to head
6. DAL (10-6)

Yikes. GB at MIN first round

If MIN goes 1-1 they cannot play GB in the first round. If they finish 12-4 and so does Philly, Philly would be 2 and MIN 3, BUT a Philly win would mean a Dallas loss, giving GB the 5 seed by default no matter what they do. Under that scenario they wouldn't have a chance of playing until the NFC Championship.

If they go 2-0 and NO wins they will have the 2 seed and a bye and will only play them if GB is not the 6 seed and the 6 seed wins in the WC round. Assuming Dallas is the 6, the 2nd round would have to be DAL at NO and GB at MIN. Of course MIN could still get the 1 seed by winning out with a NO loss, in which case GB could be very likely to play them in the 2nd round as a 5 seed if they beat the 4.

Yeah, I'm bored. But wow am I pumped for this postseason.

Yeah I was listening to the Madison ESPN affiliate today at work and they were running through some scenarios...

Obv a real good chance GB stays in Glendale 2 weeks in a row.

Cannot wait for playoffs. Team is somewhat reminiscent of the 07 Giants, team that started off slow but got hot late with some great D and smart QB play. They made the playoffs and at worse will finish 10-6, which is about what I expected. Feel like I'm freerolling from here on out.

A Bears 'W' tonight means good things down the line...Lovie saves his job and more Vikings collapse? I'm not opposed

Well, the Queens are making a strong case to get the Packers in the wild card round.

I say bring 'em on!! The Pack has definitely improved since they dropped those Vikings games, while the Vikings have regressed quite a bit. Plus it would be nice to see if Favre can help advance the Pack instead of destroying their playoffs for once this decade

A+

Maybe Favre v GB implosion will still happen, just a bit later than I thought.

+1 and you guys really need to troll the Vikings thread more

I actually saw on the ESPN NFC North blog that there are 8 scenarios for Sunday. In 6 of the scenarios GB will play AZ, in 1 they play MIN (listed above), and in 1 they play DAL.

then again maybe he just wants to have them for one series with injuries to both teams I just don't see the upside

Most Yards Passing, Season

* 4,458, Lynn Dickey, 1983 (484 attempts)
* 4,413, Brett Favre, 1995 (570 attempts)

Rodgers currently at 4,434. Only real explanation for it. Don't like it, but do like the momentum of torching this team twice this year at their place. Why not do it a 3rd time?

edit: maybe not? okay i really have no idea why he did that now esp v. all backups. it will be interesting to hear what he says.

I have a feeling ARC will play. I've heard rumblings that Boldin might not, but he's played this year after being questionable, so I wouldn't count on him sitting out.

Still scared that Bush is going to have to cover Boldin or Breaston.

Love him or hate him I guess. I mean ok he played ****ty in STL, but the ATL loss, your pasting on Favre. He didn't have Driver, there was a crucial bad call on that muffed punt or something. Not just Driver, but there were like 4 starters out and Vick made some huge plays at the right time. Eagles game, yeah Favre threw a horrible pick in OT, but he also called to punt on 4th and 1 (when they have been unsuccessful in scenario's like that just once in the last 10 try's that season, oh yeah it was the first half on the 1 yd line), and of course he blew the 4th and 26.

Favre turns out a gruesomely disfiguring playoff performance (22 of 33, 66.7%, 216 yards, 6.5 YPA, 1 TD, 4 INT, 55.4 rating Gruesomely disfiguring, minus the picks and a little more yardage (which he gets if he doesn't throw picks) it isn't quit shabby.

2005 and 2006 season had nothing to do with a new coach and the fact that the team was extremely green.

And the Giants NFC championship game, of course the run game non existent, Favre should be running option imo, yes another horrid pick.

yes, last year at the Jets he was hurt, but they weren't going to take their huge investment and sit him down, that hurt the Jets bottom line. (plus, I don't think he cared too much to be there.)

Of course that article never talks about the great moments he has had (and there were plenty more) The Sea game the week prior to NYG, he played outstanding but of course that is forgotten.

I wish GB never got Favre, then the ridiculous fans who hate him could have stayed living in the 80's where we were 6-10 at best every season.
