Lol, did you mean to say "highly successful" football coach?

I wouldn't be surprised if Capers retires this offseason instead of getting fired. That way MM can say he would have brought him back in 2018 and make all our heads explode.

no no no, Mike McCarthy is a highly successful football coach. Dom Capers is an outstanding football coach (that doesn't change).

Well first off, I’m not even into the evaluation process. I’d say overall I feel really good about the coaching job our staff did. I thought our staff did an excellent job ... we’ll go through the process like we always do. Coaches will be off next week, they’ll come back after the Super Bowl, they’ll go through evaluations.

Dom Capers is an outstanding football coach, that doesn’t change. He had a tough challenge in front of him this year. That coaching staff dealt with a lot.

Getting rid of Capers makes no sense from FAT MIKE's perspective. Capers dealt with more injuries this year, and the defense was better than last year. Sure, the defense gave up touchdowns fielding ten men on the field multiple times this season, but that's just the price you pay for having OUTSTANDING FOOTBALL COACH Domald Capers as your DC.

Packers have no one selected to the Pro Bowl. Someone needs to remind the NFL that Ted Thompson is a personnel genius.

Yep, unfortunately, TT has one year left on his contract, in which he is expected to retire afterward. I find it hard to believe that they don't punt that decision till next year when whoever the new GM will be takes over.

Adams out too. I'm driving over 7 hours to see a blood bath.

At this point, we'd be better off with Mike Rotunda than ROTUND MIKE.

In true GB fashion, I expect GB to win this game, despite having no reason or business doing so.

Not in my wildest imagination did I see us being within 2 TDs of MIN in the 4th quarter.

If there are any sanctions issued by the NFL for this, it really has to be time to fire everyone:

Looks like they have to release Rodgers. Hopefully we can resign him. Will he have to pass through waivers?

LOL at the idea of the NFL ever forcing the Packers to release Rodgers

Whether right or wrong, the NFL won’t enforce anything. If they do it’ll be a PR ****storm on top of all the bad press the last couple seasons. They will likely just change the rule for next year.

I know I will never watch an NFL game again if they enforce the rule.

And either way, fire everyone.

Packers of course are stating they didn't violate any rules. Wouldn't this sort of thing be governed by the CBA? According to rules they would have to release Rodgers if there was no new injury. Browns would claim him off waivers in a heartbeat.

I mean, I'm 99% sure the rule is in place to stop teams from signing someone just to stash them on IR for the season (and thus would only be an issue if said player was pushing to not be on IR). There is a 0% chance that this gets enforced, and GB could probably just make up an injury in the event someone did push the issue. It's not like GB ever said "Rodgers is put on IR due to collarbone injury."

Media reporting via Adam Schefter is that Dom Capers will not return to Packers in 2018. Schefter is very reliable. Silverstein wrote a column that was published today about candidates outside the organization that would be good fits.
