That is one thing I don't like about the NFL, teams should not be able to interview/hire coaches until the off-season. Obviously if you fire a coach and have internal candidates that is one thing, but I think there should be a coach deadline similar to the free agency deadline where you can't hire outside of the organization until after the superbowl or something like that. It also hurts teams who are in the playoffs as their coaches are distracted by interviews instead of focusing on helping their team win.

I just read some quotes from MM's press conference today and I'm pretty tilted. It sounds like Capers is staying, which is shocking yet not shocking at all.

"This is no time for drama. Dom Capers is an outstanding football coach. He had a tough challenge this year …I feel really good about the coaching job that our staff did."

It's more so MM's overall attitude that rubs me the wrong way. I would like to hear more "we need to do better" and less "everything is going in the right direction." He's so defensive and it makes me even less confident in him.

It's like when the Brewers fired their bullpen coach.

expected but sad, Packers release Sam Shields. Adios to the only speed in our defensive backfield. Good career but obviously cut way short by injury. Glad he got paid before he left, dude made 10 million a year for a few years. From what I heard he's a really good guy.

I'll never forget this play. Pure make up speed.

I think a lot of packer fans are being overly optimistic on this free agency. our first or second best pass rusher is a FA and we lost our #1 corner. Matthews is getting older and is always banged up.we also have the most unsigned guys

then you look at the cap space and we're just around average and have half as much as the top teams. I'm okay with going with a big number on a short term contract for one of the corners but I think we are pretty committed to Randall and Rollins being better next year. I completely disagree with all the talk that the Packers need to be very aggressive. there are times to do it but unfortunately I don't think we are in that spot.

It's frustrating watching the Super Bowl winners and one of the best dynasties ever continue to go after players to improve their team while the Packers change nothing because they won the NFC North quit being greedy.

ya its frusterating but they have a bit more flexibility considering they have the 2x the cap space and the #1 coach. I mean the at the prices we've seen so far I wouldn't have signed anyone eithee really
