If we think Aaron Rodgers blows then put him on the market and get 6 first-rounders and rebuild the damn team

I think that Aaron Rodgers has always been good enough to keep Fat Mike employed, and Fat Mike has been just bad enough to keep the Pack from winning titles

It's a brutal yinyang of ****tastic underachievement

definitely not ready to bury Rodgers yet. it really does feel like the team has peaked with McCarthy though, more than ever. team is young with talent but the coaches no longer seem capable of maximizing that or putting them in favorable situations.

We just got Knile Davis. Offense should start click again.

So, we've got a Rodgers who has been playing terrible and who historically doesn't play well against the Bears and our starting RB will have been on the team for a total of 3 days. Welp.

Eddie out for several weeks.

Hey normally we'd all be thrilled. We should get to play San Diego football and throw it every time and throw to Montgomery out of the backfield as our runs (which is what good offenses do anyway).

That was also the most successful package they had on Sunday.

It just makes no sense there are hardly EVER check downs in this offense. It seems like every team I watch if the qb drops back and nothing is immediately there, they dump it to some back who minimum gets 5.

Like am I missing something or does the scheme just seem way off.

What's happening now imo is the rest of the league has adapted their offense for the better while McCarthy is stuck in archaic route schemes.

But until now Rodgers literally was so good that he hid those imperfections (although I think most packers fans always kind of knew secretly) and now that he is struggling, we are starting to see the problems. He literally shouldn't have to put on a cape to get 300 yards.

Seriously look at some qbs in the league that get 300 on the reg, and they are total garbage. I'm not saying it's all about yards but Rodgers hasn't went over 300 yards in almost an entire seasons worth of games.

The scheme is whack, and maybe this rb injury blitz will force a change that could be for the better.

Packers 2010 WRs

Greg Jennings in his prime
Donald Driver nearing the end of his career but still effective
Jordy Nelson a young 25 year old who ended with 9 receptions in the Super Bowl
James Jones a very effective 26 year old 4th receiver

Packers 2016 WRs
Jordy Nelson coming off major knee surgery at 31 years of age. His best years are behind him.
Randall Cobb still a young receiver that plays in the slot exclusively
Davante Adams a young receiver who has not produced much and probably never will
Montgomery at number 4? Who knows, had a decent game last Sunday

Certainly one of the issues Rodgers has is his WR group isn't nearly as good as when he was getting MVP trophies.

On McCarthey, starting with NFC Championship game meltdown against Seattle, his coaching tenure has been in serious decline and continues to decline. The fiasco with the coaching changes last year and now with a team that could go in the tank seemingly pretty easy. We'll see but I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Packers lose on Thursday and Brian Hoyer outplays him.

I will be at the game Thursday night! Will need to be super drunk I'm sure.

Hopefully we can pull a miracle out of our ass and beat the bears. At least it is at home so we have a chance!

This was my exact thought after Rodgers overthrew Cobb wide open in the end zone. I've never seen him miss that throw by so much.

Well Cobb is short, Dallas was playing a zone coverage with very deep drops. Rodgers had to fit it in the seam of the zone coverage and get it the ball to Cobb in a way that it wouldn't take a long time to get there. If it is Jordy instead of Cobb in that situation it is a much easier completion. If the Cowboys were playing man to man coverage it is a much easier completion. If Cobb is that wide open on the 50 yard line, it is a much easier completion, the back of the end zone was an extra defender.

I think Rodgers plenty of issues to fix but there are other problems that are contributing.

It's just #eyetest for Rodgers for his whole career to point to as to why he's the best.

Now he's suddenly missing some easy throws but it's not like he hasn't had his share of "nobody could do that" throws this year as well.

The problem is wayyy bigger than Rodgers missing a few gimmies. He's still a total stud and anyone doubting that is a serious dunce.

I guess that's just the media though, hyping up something for a story and look at all of us idiots typing about it.

I remember when they said Brady was done lol.

They said that about Brady after four games, it's now been 17 games including that one at Denver. Home game vs Bears is the ultimate remedy, if he does poorly again do the naysayers resort to Lacy being out?

Part of me wants to lose in embarrassing fashion so we can get Mike out of here but who knows what it will take to get him fired.

Wait let me get this straight.

You're putting 17 games on Rodgers?

We're putting the fact that Rodgers wasn't exactly lighting up the scoreboard last year, either. Is Rodgers still better than any other QB on our roster? Obviously. Is he still one of the best QB's in the league when he's on his game? Yeah. At the same time, there is def something wrong with him, right now.

100% rooting for this right now. It feels weird hate watching the Packers but that's where I'm at right now.

I personally don't share the same hate for Mike that all of you seem to have.

Who would you rather have as a head coach?

You would if you knew and understood how much he's held the Packers back over his tenure there. This team has 3 rings minimum between 08 and now if they had a decent head coach.

To be fair I wouldn't rather have ANYONE. Just 95% maybe

So, Shields is on IR. Rollins and Randall both out. So, down our top 3 CBs. We know Starks and Lacy are both out, so down our top 2 RBs. Abbrederis out. Adams questionable with a concussion and Cobb is playing injured. And Cook still out, as well. Christ.
