Yeah honestly I feel like the Vikes game is more important than it should be considering we are 2.5 games up on them...but it really does seem huge. I can't shake the feeling that the Vikings are the best team in the division on paper and they're not really banged up the way the Pack is. I really wish Favre didn't mount that epic comeback vs. AZ but I guess for all the dumb things he's done this season he's due for that. Still 10-6 or better seems pretty likely at this point. I know the games @ATL, @NE, and vs. NYG will be tough but I do think we can be competitive in all three and win one, maybe even two. I mean New England is supposed to be the #1 or #2 team in the league and they just got destroyed by the Browns. I don't really worry about the CHI or SFO games...no reason the Pack shouldn't destroy them...but for some reason the one @DET scares me.

The Vikings game will be a huge game if they beat CHI his weekend. If MN. wins the next 2 games, it is a whole new division. yes the DET. game scares me too. They were close enough last game and they are better then their record suggest. NE isn't as good as their record suggests. That game is winnable, we need the Claymaker for that game.

Agreed...

Also, read this @ http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/106896883.html :

Shields will be the kickoff returner coming out of the bye. "I like what he did in practice and moving forward."

I mean.. jeesus, why put another corner up there to get hurt,but at least it's not Williams?

I'm kind of feeling the same thing. Here is the Vikes' remaining schedule, for reference:

@CHI
GB
@WAS
BUF
NYG
CHI
@PHI
@DET

They need to win their next two to have any shot at all at the division. Maybe they'll surprise me in the NYG or PHI games but given the ridiculous series of plays they needed to win vs. AZ I think every game on this list is going to be a challenge. Unless they suddenly revert to the 2009 Vikings, they look like an 8-8 team.

Remaining Schedule :

Tough... really tough... Have to hope that Chicago doesn't go on a tear somehow, and we should be fine, but damn... My pick in parenthesis's.

MINN (W)
ATL (L)
SF (W)
DET(W)
NE ( L)
NYG (L)
CHI. ( W)

10-6 sholud win the division... but 9-7 is getting a bit too close for comfort...

Chicago Remaining :

MINN L
MIA L
PHI L
DET L
NE L
MINN L
NYJ L
GB L

Thoughts?
CUTLAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I think we'll win 1 of the Losses marked there. Probably lose one of the divisional games though. @Detroit probably scariest, I think we take down Minny coming out of the Bye.

This is how every Chicago fan feels right now. You'd think this team was 5-11 already.

The funny thing is looking at Chicago's schedule its not even much of a stretch to think they will lose every game. Best chance for a win is prbably one of the Minny games or hope Detroit ***** the bed as usual.

minnesota has the easiest schedule from here on out. im more concerned about them than chicago.

The problem is they have no leeway. They can really only afford to lose one more game and they've got tough games vs. NYG and PHI coming up, not to mention GB. I thought that they'd walk all over AZ but they needed a miracle to force overtime. You can't take anything for granted with those guys.

MN. needs to win the next 2 games for them to be a factor.

I don't buy MN at all.

They ran red-hot to beat ARIZONA in overtime. Pick-6-butnahhh, etc. Arizona is turrrrible.

thanks al, i'll never forget being in stands for 'we want the ball we're gonna score' promptly followed by a pick 6

Hope he does well in Miami. Couple picks off Cutlahhh would be good too imo.

I seem to remember early in training camp he started off as a kick returner but they scrapped that because he fumbled too much. I might be thinking of someone else though.

Unfortunately for me that memory has been eclipsed by the 850 catches Plaxico had against him in the '08 championship. That OT pick 6 was awesome, but I always thought he was overrated.

And if MIN beats CHI and GB beats MIN the next week, the division race is over.

definitely over if it falls that way. i don't think he was overrated per say. Plaxico was a tough matchup for his skill set. He was a blanket guy, didn't let them catch balls. Only thing was a tall WR type like Plaxico is problematic for Harris. Go figure, McCraptastic doesn't adjust.

Havner is a good pickup, I thought he was good when he was on the team before, plus he can play defense if needed.

Woooo. Gonna break the record for most players on IR lol.

Also, Minny is now toast. Bears are pretty flawed...I don't see them getting more than 9 wins. The division could be a cakewalk for the Pack.

Yeah the Eagles looked great. I've been thinking Atlanta is overrated, along with the Giants. I think the Eagles are tops in the NFC, followed by the Packers and Saints

Rodgers was at the Bucks game tonight. Between quarters they were throwing footballs into the stands, one of the Bucks pulled Rodgers onto the court and he launched a football into the upper deck. Did not warm up and was holding his shoulder afterwards.

He did not actually appear to be hurt but what a freak injury that would be.
